    So, im somewhat new to toram..., been fooling around for a few days getting a feel for it. But im at a loss, i started over and still cant decide what class i wanna be, any advice would be great, i wanna be able to stand on my own from the start so please help me.

    A 2h or a staff+shield mage could be good options. 2h users can get their critical rate up to 100 very easily and are simple to use and understand. Staff+shield mages have a nice balance between survivability and offense and don't have to worry about their critical rate due to magic skills not being able to land critical hits.
