I never said it reduced my dmg either tho c.c
The buff is seperate for caster and the party members that stay inside the aura.

For caster:- Guard rate boost (15 + Refine on shield)(Same on all lvls), Atk-5% Matk-10% per person standing inside the aura at lvl10

For party that stays near the guardian caster:- Dmg taken reduced (35% + Shield Refine% at lvl10), aggro-80% for a +C refine shield, Ampr+25 at lvl10
So as you can see its useful at lvl10 only for pure tanks for semi tanks its better at lvl1-3 to get the guard rate boost. I keep it at lvl3 as its duration is 1min.

The thing is facts are facts they have nothing to do with opinions. Opinion was something like protection and aegis works lvl5 for you. Guardian reducing damage on caster tho? Its not an opinion its a fact that it doesnt work.

 

I never said that you did, i was stating that you said and I quote "You did say its dmg reduction is minimal which means you tested it for yourself only not for party, for party it is 47% reduction for a +C refine shield which is nowhere minimal" so I was simply elaborating on the fact that, I simply think it's minimal (to me) and that i never considered it a necessity for me at the time. I never said it reduced damage on the caster, I was explaining what the skill did and it did not involve me saying it reduced damage on the caster, you assumed I meant it that way and thats what this is about. if you read, and stop assuming it would be fine so once again this does fall down to opinions because it is my opinion that it's minimal, and it's a fact that you're assuming i'm saying things as to which I am not.

 

I've barely worked on any class but my farming mage is kind of decent, alchemist/Tech bs needs to be raised from 110-130 to add highest possible stats, DW main quest char still needs lots of work, bow/tamer still needs leveled and to actually start being used, need to raise my Vit bs more and working on making it a 1H&shield tank/Vit bs hybrid then my last character slot is specifically designated as a test character slot for now.

 

I see, so more or less the last slot would be an experimental char slot and if it didn't work scrap and repeat kinda thing?

 

Yea basically that and used for alchemy prof leveling tests that I want to do ^^ so far I've just used it once to test how many times you'd have to craft Vaccine III to raise your Alchemy Prof from 0-90. Thinking about deleting and making a new character to test how high the success rate would be for a level 40 3 lock character that only has 150 Tech plus see how accurate my own guide's information is currently since Asobimo likes changing certain game aspects randomly from time to time

 

That's actually really smart, i've never really thought of having a char slot specifically signed to things like that. I like it

You shouldnt have said its dmg reduction is minimal then coz its not ^^ you were being so vague that I was forced to assume. You should explain exactly how exactly it worked in detail if you were gonna explain what the skill did. I have been testing this skill for like 10months ever since it was released during lvl110 cap and I still dont know what more hidden functions it got. It was just recently found that it gave +25ampr as well.

You are the one that thought that I was showing attitude lol when I wasnt so in the end you are in it with this "assuming" stuff. Anyways I am done here wont be replying unless you have more questions.

Without going too much off topic my preference is class that can have high critical rate without extra stuff like astute so that it can work on any difficulty regardless of boss dodge, so my fav is critical halberd also have shield mage as magic cant miss.
