Katana best as...?

Since it's a new class i'm curious what it can act best as.
Is it a good DPS?
Do they possibly have good tank builds?
Are they good breakers?
How do Katana builds fare against other class builds? Are they better in certain areas compared to other class builds? Worse in certain areas compared to other class builds?

I'd like to know your thoughts.

 

yes. their atk is low, but they have powerful skills.

yes.

certainly not. they have a stun skill, but it's conditional and has 50% success rate.
also, their matk is the lowest of all weapons, so the "break damage" is lower.

they can attack and defend at the same time, similar to Dual Swords.
they are also very good at movement control.
the difference is that dual swords buff speed and evasion with their skills while katanas buff attack power.
