Let's talk about Thread Locking

So as is, I find that the current trend of locking threads is wonky. I'm not sure if it's because the mods feel that they have exceedingly limited control over post, or if it's the inexperience, or simply bad modding. I do however feel that the situation could be better addressed through band, warnings, the deletion of post, or barring users from a particular thread. Rather than closing a thread with a good topic idea and some controversy sprinkled in.

A misread question of intelligence or insult should be a consquence of the person, not the group afterall. Otherwise people (like me) can go around closing threads easily by insulting people and forcing actions.

Just because a few people don't like the way a thread is going, shouldn't nessacarily mean that it should be closed. As carebear as this forum is, it shouldn't be poisoning itself with care.

They made proper judgement when they lock a thread. For the good of all.

Its hard to be a mod because of human nature. You got friends in the game or here in forum. There will come a time that you need to judge or favor them. Then again, they didn't became mods for nothing. ^_^

 

No matter how you view it anybody can tell when a post is heading the wrong way I as well as these admins know the community very well and know when it's going to turn into another blah blah thread . Same as the other thread Ima tell you this one will just get the "If you don't like leave " kinda stuff and well as it will end up being locked . Nobody really complains about how stuff goes cuz we already know how bad it could get. Complaint threads never really make it out alive here haha.. Even this one .

 

With the discussion that couldn't be controlled with "usual" manner. Thread locking could be useful.

I'm sure if the discussion can still be continued in healthy manner, they won't lock it.
