Lf staff/dagger build

Hey everyone,
A little while ago instarted playing...made a mage with a older dagger staff build i found....i have seen no one run daggers as a secondary is it still viable? Should i save to respec? ....my dps is....ok but should i search for a new build...lvl 110 and starting to get decent gear.

No but the build is from 2016

 

Its usable. Along with one that's waiting to be updated for lv4 mage skills. If you are under lvl 150 or don't have any characters at that level, you won't have finale. The combos are useful from those posts. At the moment the most used combo for finale involves impact>finale(smite).
For stats I suggest Int>Dex or Int>Dex and agi or vit.
-Get an armor with 7%i&m (and -10%aggro if possible). 1 or 2s, first xtal needed is Boss Roga upgraded (iconos). If you have a 2s, second xtal is your choice between ifrid, jade raptor upgraded, York or any other that benefits mage stats.
-A good dagger with evasion or dodge or +mp or +hp, the atk of it doesn't matter much. Next year in valentines day event or white day event get the event limited biscuit dagger, it has -20% aggro and +200mp.
-Additional gear. There are many usable ones here. I'll list a few. Nightcap, 500mp and 500(or 1k can't remember)cspd. Fairy Hat, 4%matk and agi 800hp and -15% aggro. Beak mask, 300cspd 4%matk. Devils horns (best used with agi), 5% matk 666hp 20% dodge and matk up by agi - obtainable from Halloween event. And lastly Devil's hood, 5% matk 6% magic pierce 7% stability +8%aggro(use with -% aggro gear). Xtals: Ancient empress upgrade, Chocolate ooze upgrade, York xtal, aranea(idk spelling for it), Neuroth upgrade.
-Staffs. You mainly need a neutral staff +D/C/B stats 7% int&matk and +10-14int 1-2s. Next work on element staffs with element, 11-14% DMG to element and 4-7% matk +D/C/B.
Xtals: imiticia, evil crystal beast, grecia, demon gate upgrade. If 2s, I suggest Imiticia + Evil crystal beast/Grecia (5% matk 200mp, 4%matk 3% magic pierce, grecia - 6%matk 3%magic pierce).
-Special talismans. Philosophy ring 1-2s, 300mp 3%int and 30% cspd. Magic talisman IV 1-2s, 500mp +8int.
Xtals: York, Neuroth upgrade, ooze upgrade, viscum upgrade.

 

I would like to ask which is better to these two, I'm currently thinking of choosing Magic Talisman IV for my MP to add up more as I'm a Finale mage.

 

They give about the same matk boost. If the goal is finale, magic talisman IV is better. You won't need the cspd boost.
