Luck Stats

Drop rates are fixed on all mobs, mini boss and boss but sometimes are boosted for a short time specially on event periods. Luck does not increase drop rates of items specially for crystas.

As we all know luck stats give a alot on item drops. But did you know that it only has one function on the dropped chest? The function of Luck is that it opens additional items on the dropped chest and can give up to 3 or more depending on the stats distributed to luck and the ranking on boss battles. Having luck stats can give alot on drops but decreases the damage on a character's stats such as having 2:1 ratio on stats. All other class except mage are excemplary for luck stats because players mostly use them for farming purposes to boost their drop or to get support rank on boss battles because supports doesn't really rely on any stats to produce buffs for the team. On the other hand, distribution of luck on other classes could cause degration of damage. Meaning there'd be a huge amount lessened on original dps based on lvl and equipments.

Luck also contributes on crafting. As of now, items which lvl are 80 above has low possibility of having slots. We need to craft more in order to get a slotted item. In 5 crafts it has about 30% possibility to get a slotted item. But luck gives high possibility of having a slot or 2 slot on items crafted. This is recommended for all blacksmith characters with 90% or more potential on blacksmithing to get easier slots but it is a bit risky because tec will be changed to luck which will drastically lower the success rate of crafting items. The success of items will then rely on the current proficiency of smithing.

Luck is bit useless now or always

 

LUK does NOT affect slot rate of craft items.
it does affect item drop rate of monsters, as the description says.
it does not change the rarity of items, so common will common and rares will be rare, you just get more.

 

Thank you for your correction on this thread ^^ this thread is only a theory i made and i assumed that luck can increase the slot rate of crafted items because i based it on the opinions of my previous guildmates which are blacksmiths and they concluded that luck could increase the slot rate on crafting. This would be great news for blacksmith players if it were to be true.

 

Luck usually helps on farming mobs and as the thread says it opens additional drops on chest which enable players to loot more on farming. In other way of using it, luck is actually not reliable because it serves only one function in the game.

 

It did increase slot rate but thats outdated info.
It was possible during lvl50-60 cap the devs already changed that coz they need the moneh from legendary piercers sale.

 

I'm going to put things pretty bluntly here. First off, the idea that event mobs and bosses have a higher drop rate is quite likely wrong, This is because you have nothing else to compare it with, so you compare one drop which is common for both. for example, HIB from Christmas event.

and for item drops, while luck does increase the drop rate, it nullifies that advantage in harder bosses by slowing down boss runs, therefore essentially rendering the whole point of luck(faster farming) useless. Also, if people notice you are doing nothing to help, you will likely get kicked for a better party member. With n.roars though, the other pt members' ticks can kill your residues, so it has less effect.

Luck has no effects on slots, and if it does, it's too little to sacrifice tech.
So in the end, Luck is ignored because it's rarely useful outside NC farming or similar
Also let's not forget, Aso changes mechanics as if it's a daily task, so really, don't sweat it. just get on with whatever you wish to do.

 

Okay after reading I Robot, Mayam and Red_Fox's comments on here I think I need to delete then remake my Vit BS since all 3 have played longer, are more experienced, say Luk doesn't affect slot chance but did at the level 50-60 cap period and Tec>Luk since I already picked Luk from a guide with outdated information in another site on the internet stating it increased the chance by 85% for 1s an 15% for 2s at about 100 Luk

 

does luck increase the loot rate of dirty antiques?

 

The probability of additional loot drop of dirty antique still depends on its rarity but having luck might increase its drop a little.

 

What about nightmare crystals?

 

if you're unsure about getting LUK for your farmer mage just get DROP RATE UP from SURVIVAL skill tree instead, you'll notice the difference before n after maxing that passive.
as for me, I'm sitting at 60 LUK for my farmer mage with drop rate passive maxed. I've tried filling up to 100 LUK, while it does help for boss mats farming, it will backfire on field party farm when your bag gets filled by gear drops much faster than getting those rare mats you really came for.
so DROP RATE UP and 60 LUK is comfortable position for me.

So... Are getting luk stat for farming rare drops on bosses a viable options? Or should people just invest on crits instead if it's for farming rare boss mats?

 

luk for xtal drop is a no.. invest crit if ur build requires it

Meh Luck.

Luck also effects a players ambition, in that with higher luck stat. They're more likely to end up begging in Sofya for spina.
