You assumed way too much, AGAIN. I wont be bruteforcing through 150 with spina since that would be way too cost ineffecient. Using my stockpiled books to breeze through would be way easier.

Why do you compare yourself to late gamers? You should first keep on practicing your mage. For the past few days I've been down because my main char whic h is 2h got ass whipped by knuckles on the same lvl. The guy ranked hogged every rank here is, making me feel as if 2h isn't strong or powerful. But I didn't rant on how weak I was, or why 2h has weak power because I do know I haven't mastered 2h like others. From what I can see here, altho I pointed out a lot of mistakes from your rant, the problem lies on yourself having no confidence at all to play mage. You might tell me you are confident but from your rant, you aren't.

 

As this thread complains mages are weak, I just made a full MD mage with 1 int

 

Imma just say what it seems is happening:
You don't know why you're weaker than other people similar/lower level.

Reason: They've mastered the mechanics. There's a reason I was able to party with lvl 120s when I was level 100 when that was the cap. It was because I knew how to combo forge and how prorate worked, what gears I needed et cetera. That's why I womt touch mages too; I dunno the best gear for them, how to time prorate, nor even how to build combos for it. And that's because I haven't the drive to use it. Quite simply, maybe you aren't a mage in heart. Time and time again I tried other builds and people can say I wasn't necessarily bad at it, Bowgun and Halberd being what I think as my best offbeat builds from what I normally used. But everytime I reset that high leveled Chara back to a THS or a Swordfu. Why? Because, that's just my way to roll. Simply put, maybe mages aren't your thing in Toram. Lemme reiterate, IN TORAM. You might've been mages in other games but Toram provides mechanics making it different. We aren't trying to explicitly piss you off or make you look stupid, but you've thrown a loaded statement out that a lot of us refute, even me even though the last time I used a mage was back in the level 67 cap (that's not a typo). Anyways, don't say a class is weak, because strength isn't only damage output, it's in how the class is used and Staves are almost as versatile as Knuckles and OHS, making them incredibly powerful when they give a higher DPS and support outlook than the previously stated weapons.

Goodluck to lv till 150. It will be fun if u already have lv 150 and lvling with lv4 skill like i did (just reset my halb to statter and make new halb), after all lvling is one of the funniest thing in toram, enjoy it mate! (even if u cant get attacker rank! Lol its fine as long as its not farming, u want xtall? Rely on gemrun instead. U want more exp from boss? Just berak the boss's parts for more exp. U want more dmg? Buy +S weapon and armor(+e should be enough) and stat it right. Still not get attavker? Research, experiment, execute... Rinse and repeat until u satisfied. Mr xiii, mayam, and many others provide us w/ information about mechanic, numbers (i found that i can easily reach sstab always crit thx to xiii tome of dps), build, their own experiment, etc.

Also 220 hr playtime is so... Little in number...

If u want attacker rank, the easiest way(i think) is to do long run(gemrun, or high diff boss). Because storm(and tempest) will shine because they can keep dmg the boss(provided the boss stay or lock in position by tanker if possible). Unless u know what u r doing, dont compete short run against snipe, halb(sstab n dragon t), chariot knux, 2h mbreaker, and katana. They arr good at short run, can whip out a lotta number in less than 10 seconds... Anf most of those has tier4 skill, just patience till u got urs too.

 

If xtal is what you are after, just buy them off of the CB. They are cheap anyway, bar the event boss xtal.

p/s: this is coming from a person with terrible luck on glory gemruns (and some of his friends too).

I finally got my beloved HB to lvl cap and I'm going to make it a statter
Half my life on toram was spent as a mage and it was a good class
Having understood more about mechanics and boss runs I went back to level my mage and
Mage does what other classes can't really do
IT CAN DO JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING
You just suck dude
I'm getting attacker over KATANAS
Not all the time in a consistent manner but I still got attacker
And my mage isn't even pure dps build
i have a tendency to make classes hybrids fite me *-*
I'm eagerly awaiting the moment I lvl cap this lil nuke in a can

Dude you just suck monkeys balls at mage. I was mage and had trash gear and took attacker rank. Mage is a very good class all around and I’m sure T4 skills will make it even better.

P.S. Maybe it’s best that you quit ToramOnline and quit life all together because you’re a waste in both
