The suit was damaged and something came out of it and it became unstable. You dont poke unstable things lol. Its the first time you see it happening its a natural instinct to wait and see what happens and to check first if its "safer" to approach and attack it. Who knows if it wont explode and kill all the partisan members once the person wearing it dies.

Meh im thinking too much for this story. Its just plot armor and i just wanted to see more fights with the black knights (possibly versus the dark captains cos theyre awesome especially the lover of dunkelis)

 

When you realise, curveo jail episode ended up being a double purpose-
1. get rid of a bunch of partisans
2. see how the remaining bunch react when given a bait.(and fell for it like a bunch of idiots)

Once they realised there were relatively few partisans, so few that gwaimol could hold his own, and that partisans fall for bait hook line and sinker, why wouldn't they lure us out? Also, they knew the empress would be safe because we didn't bother killing gwaimol after we beat him. like, seriously, what idiots.
Pull out my bow, snipe gwaimol when his armor is broken, Snipe the empress while they are distracted by ultimate machina and all this would be over with.
knowing how stories like this are written, I'm going to bet that the reinforcements are going to be slaughtered to leave the empress vulnerable, and we'll have to finish her off. btch better have a worthwhile xtal.
