Max dps build?

I wasnt sure where to put this thread so i put it in class forums. I hope its appropriate. Im looking for a classwide highest dps possiblility. As in raw damage. Not burst. Which of the classes have the highest proclivity for sustained dps. If possible provide a link to the build you refer to. Thanks in advance for all advice.

 

Dual wield has the best sustain, but a little lower damage than other classes. It's a lot of fun too. The doubled Ampr makes it a beast at keeping damage coming.

2h is incredibly good at pretty much everything. It can sustain damage and keep doing it, no charge times, no waiting, just damage. Using rampage and trigger slash with a 2h turns it into an Ampr monster, you can use 200-300mp combos easily, or even higher costs, and keep getting the mp back fairly quickly, while still doing damage with rampage.

 

I agree too. 2H has the strongest power for warriors and skills like rampage/berserk/trigger (even Decoy) will recover MP back really quickly. Best, continuous DPS in this class (or game even), provided you can keep yourself alive of course!

 

I beg the differ, I keep getting beat by Katana classes even at level 165 Katanas for Attacker

 

Because Katanas get the best of all worlds.

They have infinite mp with Decoy Shot
Their main dps skill costs only 1 mp
They eat up your Rampage proration with spam
Their spam actually feeds right into Garyou, making it win-more

Unlike other large-scale dps moves, like Crossfire or Finale, which suffer from easy disruption​

They have the most meta non-custom gear: Modestia
Their buff skills lack drawbacks, where Berserk cuts your Stability, and where Chakra is 1-hit, and where Godspeed Wield has massive defensive drawbacks, the only issue of Kairiki is easily subverted with Recover
While other skill trees have various skills trying to do various things, the Mononofu skill tree is the most coordinated and focused tree there is.

Mononofu even actively discourages hybrid builds with the loss of the best passive (probably even of all skill trees): Two-Handed

There is basically only 1 katana build at this point: Godspeed Wield + Decoy Shot = Tenryu Spam + Garyou Finisher​

Mononofu has EVERYTHING a dps could want

+50 ampr: Shukuchi/Kairiki
Trackball movement + Shortest combos ever (Tenryu) = Avoids every aoe
Almost all skills are Unsheathe, giving them specialized boosting options practically available only to them (other than that singular Duel Wield move, Charging Slash)​

Not quite. Katanas have horrendously low tap damage and are bad for breaking bosses.

 

The character creation screen tells you it can be a sub for bow, and it's not the worst combination. Two-Handed isn't needed whatsoever, because adding on mononofu skills to the shot skills makes it much more versitile. Having both Crossfire and Tenryu along with a Garyou finisher is very versatile in battle. Yes you dont have as much DPS, but yet again, this day in age is DPS-centric. I personally believe balance is good as well.

Mononofu doesn't completely cover every basis but for pure DPS it is very good at it.

 

snipe(consec) > meiji (consec) > Garyou (smite)

In my opinion the best sustained DPS builds are Dual Weild (Auto Attack and Phantom Slash), Katana, Bowtana (Both Tenryu users, Bowtana also as some burst nukes you can use as well if you wanna)
