My Idea on making agi a useful stat

    as we all know, knucks get the short end of the stick with just about everything.

    They have no crit boosting skills so all their stats and gear generally need to go to crit after maxing main stat
    They have terrible ampr skills. (Attack speed doesn't scale that well and chakra is a poorly thought out skill for a melee class)
    They have low stat growth and weapon base damage

    Their only upside is high stability.

    To balance it out a few things need to happen
    -Increase Shell Break proc rate, or have the mp recovery occur even if armor break is already happening
    -Increase crit rate with mastery
    -Allow extra aggravate hit to provide Ampr
    -Change the way AGI stat works

    Unlike most of the other stats, agi doesn't really DO Anything useful.

    you get a little bit of atk speed, cast rate, or flee.

    But we all know, you need a LOT of attack speed to get a noteable difference, Same with cast rate
    Flee is kind of stupid since it hardly even avoid auto attacks.


    With the other stats, you get something useful. Str can add to crit damage and stability and make a noteable difference as a secondary stat
    Dex (Kinda lame like agi as well but damage growth from it for most other weapons is nice)
    Vit is all around good
    Int is kind of specialized so i'll leave it at that with only one real magic skill tree (should increase natural AMPR though like 10 int = 1 ampr)



    I Think I could live with agi being so lame on damage growth (as if they didn't gimp the base dmg on knuckles enough already) if it had another side effect.

    Having points to agi should boost your MOTION Speed

    As of now, it's about 1k aspd after 1.1k = 5% motion speed. At level 165 with 255 agi, you get about 15% natural motion speed boost. Not bad! But for a speed class, it's not so impressive. What if having Agi, aside from increasing your attack speed, having a DIRECT motion speed boost.

    Say maybe 10 Agi = 1 motion speed on TOP of the attack speed bonus. Total of 25% motion speed. This would set knucks to be around 40% motion speed at full agi. This would really compensate for the lack of direct crit and ampr skills and maybe damage.

    If this occurs, I can see other classes starting to put points into Agi more as well.

    I don't think they would actually change how AGI works since there are alrrady many skills that helps you increase your ASDP, besides, if knucks DOES have high stability, why not sacrifice 50% to get 25% crit rate? (I'm talking about berserk, xtra aspd too)

    With knuckles low damage, 40% stability (20% for tonfa) is just plain dumb.

    Well the thread starter said that knucks have high stability, so don't call my idea dumb :/

    Well agi builds are the best soloers, since it nearly migitates all normal attacks and you just have to dodge aoes or recover hp from magic attacks. Pretty much no other can rely on that for damage migitation and uses pots or hp boosts to survive. Lets be honest, your damage will not increase much from being fast. One way brawlers could be improved is getting fixed motion speed from agi(like +20% at 255 agi only for knuckles, so youd still need some gears with motion speed or higher aspd), so its easier to cap motion speed, i mean if asobimo wanted knuckles to be fast then let them be fast.

    We do have high stability...But why do we need to sacrifice it just to be able to do a wee bit more?

    I can say a lot here, but other classes don't really have to sacrifice much to be really effective.

    Right? The speed class should get speed...But we even hardly get that.

    And as the games going, all these bosses favor towards Burst type damage classes instead of DOT. What good is attack speed if i have to run away for 5 seconds every 2 hits because the boss spams an AOE the size of the map?
