hi all, i'm trying to make a full support priest.

my build: full Int @ lv51. MP about 750, HP about 1.5k

    my skills:
    MP charge 10
    Safe rest 5
    Sober 5
    MP boost 4
    Short rest 5
    HP boost 10

    First aid 1
    Mini heal 10

    Bless 10
    Gloria 10

what else should i add for more efficient party support (boss & maze)?
can i shorten mini heal cast time beside getting equip/xtal with cspd+, like reduce animation time or with swift?

    thank you!

if you use a shield, you can add Protection and Aegis
the effect animation looks really cool, that is the main reason why people like those skills so much ;)

At this point in game, you can choose between 2 routes:

INT route: this gives better bless
VIT route: rely more on mini heal than bless, weak bless, but healthier healer

These 2 set up is based on you using staffs, recommend Libra in particular for 1k Cspd, but since it halves matk, it weakens Bless, more reason for going route 2. With Libra, Oracle robe and Cat ear hood, you can reach 1500 Cspd without Xtals.

You will also want a shield. With the use of a shield, MP cost for Protection and Aegis is lowered. These 2 skills compliment Gloria well.

You will also want Sanctuary, which lowers fractional damage by 95% at level 10. But this is area based, so you need to follow the tank account to be effective.

If Protection and Aegis both cost 100 Mp (I'm not sure as I don't have them), I'd suggest:
holy fist > Sanctuary (save) > Gloria (swift) > bless (Swift) > Protection (Swift) > Aegis (Swift)

The idea is to use holy fist to make sure you are at tank range. Know the boss and approach at a good angle. Or start with arrow / sonic wave and position yourself roughly at a 45 degree angle behind the tank. So anyway, long story short, stay close to the tank so sanctuary covers the tank, and swift as many buff skill as you can after sanctuary to shorten cast time. Anything that didn't fit in combo had to be used as Consec. This is what I, a dumbass, would recommend.

A normal person would probably tell you to break the combo into 2 since Sanctuary last 15 seconds so you can safely reposition yourself to finish off the second combo and still have enough time to charge. Much smarter way and safer for you and your party ^^

However, before you lose yourself in this build, I must emphasize that healers are currently not ideal. Mini heal cost too much MP and is too slow, the amount healed is only 10% of receiver's hp + 300. With DPS have average 1.7-2k hp these days, it takes 3-4 heals to fully heal them and they are usually dead by the time you start channeling the second heal.

For tanks, they may have 17-18k hp, so you heal 2k each time. Revitas will kick in more often than your heal does.

Nothing you can do about these at the moment, but that's essentially why healers are not receiving the glory that should at this current point in game.

thanks for your input, and yeah i understand your point that "priest" class can't seem to help healing that much in fights. but i do have interest in things that seems useless, other ex. dagger skills. (not saying i will combine priest and dagger). so i will continue down this path. thank you again :)

Sorry, by no means am I discouraging this. If it came out wrong, please accept my apologies,

Talking about dagger, you can check out my guide linked in my signature. When it comes to useless stuffs, I think we share that in common ^^

Priest will change with third and forth tier skill. Just be patient with them. Priest class is one I have very high hopes for.

Hi Decimals, great work there with your Support Priest. I have a hybrid character with Support skills too. I'd say you're on track with your build. My suggestions below.

    On stats:
Max Int first, then Dex. Your 3rd stat can be Vit.

With Dex added next, you will have higher cspd and m.atk with +3 cspd, +1 matk per +1Dex. With high M.atk and equipping a staff, your Bless healing power will reach 100 hp or more per tick. Your casting time for Mini Heal will reduce when you start adding Dex. Meanwhile you can consider boosting cspd with gears and xtals.

Vit as 3rd Stat will help boost your hp and physical defense, which are the typical weaknesses for mages.

    On healing:
Use Bless as your smaller, consistent party heal while supplementing it with Mini Heal for big heals to specific party mates who are hitting critical hp levels.

    For buffs:
And to prevent the need to cast Mini Heals often, which will consume lots of mp, buff your party with Sanctuary, Gloria, Protection and/or Aegis. The latter 3 are party buffs and all 4 buffs stack, giving you multiple layers of buffs.

    On defense and survivability:
On another note, you have no attack and breaking skills, leaving yourself vulnerable. In a good party, party mates will cover and take aggro off you. In bad, uncoordinated and selfish parties, you're left to fend for yourself. Hence equipping yourself with self-defense skills is important.

I'd suggest adding skills such as Smash and Sonic Wave from Martial tree and Shield Bash/Cannon from Shield tree. These skills will allow you to break/stun and make time for strategic retreats from any mob or boss when you are targeted.
