For VIT BS, you only need 45sp (2 maxed anvils, 2 creation skills, and then the initial 5sp at the start of the smithing tree). The rest of your SP can be used to make the char into a battle-worthy build, so you'll have an easier time to level up (i.e. joining random boss parties without getting kicked for doing zero to little dmg).

The other requirement is to have near full vit stats (i.e. 250 vit) which you'll need to level up your char to reach. After 250 vit, you can pour your remaining stat points into TEC to improve your chances at crafting.

After this you just need to craft and craft and craft... to get your Smithing proficiency lvl high enough to craft all the latest armors. Note, to level up your prof, you can craft anything (inc all weapons). It doesn't have to be armours only.

    Good luck!

For having a VIT BS i suggest looking into a tanking build, which will be harder since you have to have TEC sub instead of RES. So I'd say go with Knuckles and become a tank/breaker hybrid. Good Luck ^^

Nope. You only get 1 potential for every 10 vit on armors, so 60 will only add 6 potential to the armors you make.

The more potential you have on an equip, the more flexible that equip is when someone tries to customize stats into them.

You gotta start grinding more levels and dedicate everything to Vit if you are planning to continue with thay character.

Vit bs is great for crafting descent armor but a weapon smith can craft and farm other materials which would make it more useful for spina farming. Staff or 2H bs would be a decent choice for doing both ^^
