Newb needs answers!

So if I craft aqua garb will it give me weaker stats compared to the garb I would get if astol dropped it? Also I am playing as a md mage so I hv put all stats in InteLondon. Should I put some in agI?also is aqua garb good for mage? If not which armour¿

 

Boss drop armor will have better stats then craftes ones from bs.
Keep all in int you will have over 255 so the rest can go to either luck for droprate or agility if you want, they also have cast speed potions/xtals as well.
Player crafted armor would prob be best in my opinion int7%mattk7%cspd12%.

If your playing MD mage go all INT first. Add either luck (if your a farmer) or DEX for fast cast speed (if your not a farmer). You don't really need AGI. Aqua garb is a good start, you can also make oracle garb as your first it's Blacksmith exclusive armor. All are good sets. I think right now everyone is using twlight garb. Personally, for for my MD I use oracle garb remodeled to heavy.

 

At what level can I get oracle garb I am 54

 

It's in the 30-60 lvl choose at blacksmith so almost at the end. Probably around 57 or 60. I am not sure the exact lvl.

It is better if you are leveling ur char and start making blacksmith with full vit to craft armor so u would need level up its profiency depend on arm u crafted

But doesn't more agI give me faster recharge on Mp when I hit stuff?

 

AGI increases your attack speed so you do hit more. However, Attack MP Recovery is how much you recover per hit. Everyone starts at at 1 mp recovery per hit so if you increase your hit rate even at a slower speed you can recovery quickly. If you have high AGI + Attack MP Recovery you can quickly gain your mp back by attacking.

However, as mage you will do Mp charge to recovery in battle.

Basic combo example
Impact > storm (smite) > mp charge (swift)

Recovers 300 MP

This your basic farming combo.

 

Boss Drop>NPC Craft>Mob Drop
This is the greate toram gear qualifications if you are just looking in the stats Department.
Player craft is fully custom made to fit your playstyle so you can basically ask a stater or buy ones on CB.

You either keep them or reset them with orbs/book.

Boss drop and NPC crafted has totally different stat, but not all boss drops are better than NPC craft. In this case, boss drop is better.
MD mage? Are you aiming to be a farmer or building it for boss battles?
Aqua garb is good for newbie mages IMO, when you are more experienced you can opt for more OP armours like armigma, praetor or fortistra

 

My first account so I want it to be for my main story quests so a mix of farming and boss battles

 

You sure you don't want to opt for a staff mage instead and create a farming mage as second character?

 

Obviously I don't want power .I just like to fly. I don't play toram for game completion and stuff. I play it for fun. And for fun I want to be a wizard only. And if I can be a wizard with wings even better. If I make a second character it wil be an archer. And that too just for fun. No alchemy no black Smith

 

Magic Devices have power too (they can even be better than staffs), it's just that most people can't handle it.
that's why the complex weapons have been degraded into tools and "fun builds"
well, all games are like this. just think and play by yourself instead of following the mass and you will be fine

 

I see I see, but good luck finding a party then, cos I don't know why, but people see md users in boss battles as leeches. And for your information, Archer is also a DPS class with sniper, also depending on how you want to build it.
