Newbie Dual Wield

Ok, so I'm kinda new to this game, and I decided to be a Dual Wield. But I'm confused about what stats and skills I should focus on. Based on my research, Str for high damage, Dex for high accuracy and moderate damage, and Agi for high attack speed and sub weapon damage, if I'm not wrong. And everyone has different builds for stats and skills, so I got even more confused. I just recreated a Dual Wield because for my first, I stupidly put points into all of them. So I'm looking for advice right now.

For Stats, I want a build that allows me to have good accuracy, good damage, and fast attack speed, but something that won't die easily. I'm considering Full Dex and then balanced Agi and Str. Thoughts?

For Skills, I know ShadowStep is important (which tree is it in btw?), but that's about all. Hard Hit flinches the boss n lets me break it, but most builds don't have it. Most have Astute though, so that's one skill I'll get (but what level do you recommend?)

That's a bit too much to focus in one go. You'll have to define a priority between those requirements.

The passives (Dual Sword Mastery and Control) are a must; max them out immediately.
Spinning Slash is regarded as the swiss army knife of DW; you should take it (but you aren't forced to take it).
Then you have the DPS skills: Twin Slash, Phantom Slash and Charging Slash on the DW tree, Tempest on the Blade tree and Strike Stab on the Halberd tree. Pick one, then adapt your stats and other skills as necessary.
Shadowstep is in the Dual Sword tree.

 

I don't need really good damage, just moderate or enough to kill bosses is fine. Honestly, since Dex increases accuracy and strength, which is two of those tht I want, I was thinking of maxing out dex. The problem comes in which stat to pour the rest into. Either full agi, since i want the speed, or maybe balanced agi n str. but does this build sound good? or is it bad?
if it sounds good, ill go implement it immediately cause my chara cant go on like this with only 1 point in each stat xD

Well, once I've settled my Stats n Skills, I guess the next step would be combos.
Any suggestion for that? I want to hear different suggestions so that I can take them all into consideration, and then make my own combos from there :3

 

Well, it kinda depends on your DPS skill. The problem with Lynxi's stat setup is it forces you to take a DW skill as the DPS skill, because the stat spread is suboptimal for Tempest and Strike Stab. Are you also taking Twin Slash or are you taking a different skill (Charging or Phantom)?

 

I have 0 idea about what skills to take, so currently, my chara still doesnt have any skills except for level 1 Dual Sword Mastery XD

 

Well, for a quick rundown:
Twin
+ Quick and cheap
+ Boosts its own crit damage
- Requires you to crit

Charging
+ Good synergy with Godspeed
+ Can use it to dodge
- Kinda slow
- Requires Unsheathe stats to truly shine

Phantom
+ High damage
+ Invincible + Freeze
- Expensive on MP
- Sloooooooow

 

well guess ill go with Twin Slash then XD maybe a bit of charging :3 not rly keen on getting a skill that eats up my mp quickly

Then you can stick with Lynxi's combo setup. If it ain't broken, don't fix it right? (But please focus on getting Crit UP and forget about getting Intimidating Power, that passive is trash).
Unsheathe stats are special stats that boost the attack of certain auto attacks and skills.
