Pets stat and skill

I am completely new to testing pet system. I have never used it. So, now i have got a manticore and a parasitized dog. I want to know what training should i give. There are a lot of training like Dex training, Vit training etc. So, i have no idea. Also, how to choose skills for pets.

It would be nice if somebody shared its pet build. I would also like to know some suggestions on a strong and high dps pets.
