Every time you use an attack it will cause proration. There are three types of proration: physical, magical, and auto attack proration. Each time you use an attack of one of these types, the damage of the same type will decrease, and the damage dealt by the other two will increase. Some mobs prorate differently; some mobs may have a proration rate of 10%, meaning that the damage of the same type will decrease by 10% and the other two will increase by 10%, and there are some mobs that have a 1% proration rate, even a 0% proration rate, meaning that you may be able to spam on some bosses. Generally, the best way to prorate is to use your auto attack about 10-15 times before using your skills/combos, then attacking inbetween using combos for the same number of attacks or more of the same type to maintain your damage. Here are some examples:

    Hard Hit> Astute(consecutive)> Trigger Slash(consecutive)

In order to maintain my dps, I need to make sure that I attack at least 3 times again after using this combo to maintain my proration. I usually go for one more auto attack to make sure, but that is optional.

    Another example:

    Moeba Shot> Impact(save)> Snipe(smite)> Bullseye(consecutive)

This combo contains 3 physical skills, and 1 magic skill, meaning that I would only need to attack 2 times after using it since the magic skill (Impact) cancels out the proration from Moeba Shot; however, if I were to use this combo from far away, Imapct would not hit since it is an area skill, so I would have to use my auto attack 3 times to maintain proration.

I know that this is a bit lengthy, but I hope it helps. ^_^/

Unfortunately theres something the video doesnt mention and its the speed at which different enemies get prorated.
Iconos is the only boss in game which gets prorated at the speed of 0%
Means you can not prorate it at all or experience prorating there.

I suggest go to metal stinger in akaku desert map and test proration there it has a high value of 20%,20%,10%
