power wave skill

    Helps long range users prorate and also ampr. Damage is reduce if staff or MD are not in main or sub weapon slots

    range of normal attacks extends to 10m.
    damage is halved when it's activated.
    depending on the weapon type, it activates outside of weapon range. at a distance of 5m or more it always activates.
    since it is on the magic skill tree, you get a bonus effect for staffs and MDs.

    Staff:
    - no damage reduction (normal damage)
    - 2m more range (12 instead of 10)

    MD:
    - no damage reduction (normal damage)
    - damage increased by 20%
    (the MD bonus applies to main and sub slot, but NOT with staff as main. the MDs attack range is 6m, but power wave will activate at 5m)

    Ranged tanks aren't really effective because most skills you need that negate damage and buff defenses and resistances need to be around other players. and making a brawler tank with power wave suggests you would kite around more rather than face tanking the boss.
    Melee types often generate more aggro than other ranged classes unless the ranged type is near enough and spams enough to generate more aggro.

    Its only useful for mages that have long range skills but short range auto attack.
    What r u gonna do taking a skill that gives you long range auto attack when 90% of martial skills are short range skills :v
    If you really wanna long range tank i suggest you go for bg+shield build instead of knuckle.

    if you have a staff: maybe... (depends on your style)
    if you have a Magic Device (main or sub): YES!!!
    if you don't have magic weapons: only if you desperately need a ranged attack :p

    knuckles can use Sonic Wave with 24m range, so you don't need it.
    especially if you want to be a "tank" type, you usually don't use magic as secondary skill :p

    what is your weapon, what are are your stats?
    armor remodelling?
    what skills do you use?

    I using knuckcle. Just VIT now.
    Light armor
    Martial, shot, shield, survive, support skills

    I dont know much about soloing, i dont think its possible to make a good solo build with a full VIT char.
    But for tank i can suggest
    Guardian---> aggro booster and party buff
    Sanctuary---> Dmg nullification
    Protection/Aegis---> Additional resistance
    Aggravate---> additional ampr
    Mini heal---> decent hp heal
    First get these many then tell me if there skill points left :v

    shot skills require an arrow sub weapon if you don't have shooting weapons.
    shield skills require a shield.
    only Protection and Aegis are "no limit" but cost 3x as much when used without a shield.

    light armor and VIT doesn't fit together.
    VIT raises defense and hp but light armor decreases defense.
    it increases speed and dodge, but you need AGI for that.

    it's better to delete this character and make a new one.
    but first, you should decide on what you want to be.
    i recommend to read the Complete Class Guide (in my signature).
    for tanky knuckle classes, i suggest the Titan and the Monk.
    of if you want shooting skills on a tank, use the Cannoneer.

    from my guide:
    the lv0 and lv1 martial skills can interrupt monsters' attacks with Flinch, Stun and Tumble.
    the lv2 skills can inflict Stop and Guard Break, one of the lv3 skills inflicts Lethargy.
    the passive shield skills raise your def mdef and HP, the barrier skills raise physical or magical resistance (at the cost of the other) and the lv3 skill after that creates an aura to share your shield with the party and greatly raise your aggro and guard rate.
    you can also learn Assualt Attack from Knight Skills to inflict Slow.
    look for equipment with aggro and guard stats.
    Heavy Armor increases defenses at the cost of speed and you can use Guard.
    AGI raises attack and speed, DEX raises accuracy and atk a little, VIT raises defense and HP.

    Edit: it looks more epic if your character has the "tall" body height, wears the biggest shield available (Huge Heavy Shield) big armor with many iron plates and those knuckles that look like giant hands (i forgot their names)
