Priest vs Support Skill Tree

which one should i choose if im focusing on dps but also want some support?

The support tree is literally alllll support. Priest has holy fist and all that so its cool

 

Support and dps? Hmmm maybe at 120cap we get a good priest skill...for now priest tree is nothing stellar and support tree is just used for the sanctuary skill or a pure support build

priest skills scale with your matk.
(gloria is the only exception, it scales with everyones def and mdef individually)

support skills are independant of your stats. they scale each players level and stats.

support skills can be used by anyone with decent mp recovery, and they have a wide variety, so there is a fitting skill for almost everyone.
priest skills rely on magic, which limits their usage to certain classes, but they can be used early on since they cost much less.

If he wants to be dps too, bloom of peace is no good =/

 

Definitely Priest first.
- Bless heavily benefits from higher Matk with Staves on, and it's getting a passive that boosts it in a future update;
- Gloria boosts Guard Rate if you have a Shield equipped;
- There's Holy Fist, a great spell as combo opener/ender.

Support skills aren't bad, but Priest gives more immediate benefits and is more broadly usable. If you are done getting all the DPS skills you need, I definitely recommend maxing Recovery after Priest. It's a underrated spell with a great effect (removes 2 debuffs from your targer at lvl 6 and higher AND gives a buff that makes it resist debuffs). Mini Heal's getting lots of hate (not injustified), but it's a nice backup skill if Bless doesn't cut it (either allies are too low on HP or you have a tank in your pt).
Finally, get Shield skills. You have Shield Bash as a combo opener and Shield Cannon as a combo ender if the boss isn't allergic to stuns, and Protection and Aegis are extremely good supporting spells when used well. Taking Guardian is up to you, but I don't recommend it because, unless you spend some firepower or cast speed for HP equips, you're not going to be close to the boss in a fight, and not for very long if you are close to it.

Support skills are only good if you're going full on support, since they almost require you to stay out of battle unless you want to risk getting hit and losing the buffs. They also require a lot of mana and a lot of skill points for them to actually be useful. The only skills that would be useful for someone who's not a full on support would be mini heal, recovery, and maaaaaybe sanctuary. It depends on your HP or if you plan on having a tank with you on the party at all times. Also, sanctuary is almost not worth it unless you max it out.

 

low atk only does low damage when the monster have high defenses.
Bloom of Peace has magic pierce
