Does my current Synthesis (Alchemy) Proficiency have any effect on the success rate of Equipment Synthesis (in the same way as TECH)?

If not, is there any way to reach 100% success rate when I'm a luck mage?
And what is the "Support Item" that can raise the success rate?

    Thanks in advance!

Profficiency doesnt effect the succes rate, only help you create a higher equipment or potions. I believe tech and str give the succes chance of crafting, but im not expert about it. Perhaps the other forumer would be able to help you

Aww, seems like I'll have to reset my personal status then.
Thanks again! And that was such a quick reply! :)

Yes, Prof level does help u to reach higher success rate. When ur synthesist or bs prof level reaches higher. You can create items much below ur difficulty level with 100% success.

For example: I hv a synthesist lvl100 prof.
I can craft most of the revitas and potions with 100% success. But ur prof will not increase anymore if u create items that has 100% success of crafting.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you're looking to achieve 100% success rate with *equipment synthesis* then you need TEC, not LUK, and there's really no way around this. What Nincy said only applies to *item creation.*

Other than the 'one weird trick' -- degradation severity reduction, only relevant when refining +B to +A or +A to +S -- LUK contributes literally nothing to any production class.

Edit - hmm, I misunderstood this as being a question about LUK. Adding 2-lock capability to an existing character is doable.

Thanks, Thopster. Finally I changed to TEC after desperately try to find another way lol.
My char was INT-LUK cuz she is a stormer.
But I guess her new INT-TEC stat with 25 TEC (so that I have 100% of two-locked synthesis chance) would be okay. Well, at least I hope haha.
Thanks for the information about the items too. I asked about it cuz when Equipment Synthesis chance wasn't at 100%, it noticed me that I could boost the percentage by some kinds of item. But yeah, I had no idea what were the items those were mentioned.
So resetting her personal stat was the only choice I had. RIP my money TT.
Anyway, thanks again for your reply too. I think it would be useful for other people too. :bloodtrail:

Aww, I've just knew a level-3 Alchemist skill can also boost my success rate after reaching level 100 today. :(
    [IMG]
It boosts the success rate of any 2-lock synthesis by 7.5% per level.
I should have known it earlier.
Now I have to reset my personal stats back cuz TEC is useless for me now.
Costs me 16 orbs though :biblethump:

Just an information for those whoever have the same question as I had before.

You're only looking to 2-lock things with a lv100+ character? No 3-lock???? Holy smokes, that changes everything.

This is a character concept I didn't understand, and I regret having given any advice, because I *never* would have intentionally told you to spend orbs to move around a couple dozen stat points.

I think the advice I would normally intend to give here is, don't mix production-class characters and playable characters, but I may have to rethink that too, because I can see the appeal of having 2-lock available without making a character for it.
