Question about my mage at lv144.

Sorry to ask few questions as I just got back playing after a few months, I stop playing at lv110 - lv115 cap if i'm not mistaken about the level cap back then.

My mage was an arrow mage with quick draw and sneak attack, I've unlearned the arrow skills for me to get the Finale and Maximizer skill.

I made her a Shield Mage as I thought that It is good for me to get good HP and DEF/MDEF. *and I'm not regretting it as pt now a days are looking for stunner etc. And I think it's a good sub skill*.

Question is, I'll be having an estimated SP of 30`ish at lv155. I'm thinking where to spare those.

Is Godspeed from Halbert skill tree worth getting? And is it worth advancing it's lvl to 10?
As I pt'd with someone in Builder Golem spot and using it, as per her that it actually helps your motion speed for casting Finale etc. Haven't got a chance to answer as we're doing massive kill.
Or, I would be considering arrow skills + sneak again for stab and hiding the aggro on the least that it can do at lv3, then the rest will go to advance guard if it's worth getting though.

NEVER GET ADVANCE GUARD IF USING A SHIELD!!! Even if shieldless its still not worth it. Go check the skill thread for more details. And dont learn any armor skills too btw, as if thats gonna help lol

Did u considered brave aura? Highly recommended for mages since accuracy not a problem.

Gsw is high risk high reward, either max it or dont get it. Seeing many bosses these days with super aggresive attacks i'm scared too. Super useful at odelons/sdm, but idk comm golem heard its aggresive.

Even if getting arrows for 2mp finale long combo, i think its still safer than using gsw. Cant guarentee even simple impact finale being fast enough to not get hit nyaaaaa. Vit mage is a bliss...


Personal opinion: In mage vs mage, whoever shot first wins attacker. To get rank i'd recommend learning support skills BUT i lack info and experience on that subject so plz help xddddddd

Hmm.. I think I still need other's point of view as seems like it's quite good for casting 3 sec finale.

Imo, gsw is not worth the risk, just use swift as combo tag.
I have lv 10 gsw in my hb jist for fun and occasionally use it if possible,and then.. One flick from york kill me with 8k dmg. (his normal attack not skill).

 

- GodSpeed Wield.
impact+finale will stuck caster in place for like 7~8secs, with GSW(3 times) it only cuts to 5secs, but every damage you receive becomes 5 times greater.

For builder_golem it is safe to have GSW and cast finale from 12m distances because he wont trow blue_aoe_bomb like dusk_machina does.

- Sneak Attack
Assuming you went full matk+ gears then you will need it more than GSW(...or more than anything should i say).
(Impact+finale generate 2100 aggro without any -%aggro stat).

 

GSW only affect the [epic_shield_and_staff trowing_animation] and the [epic_standing_pose] after casting it, the cast time remains the same.
So the result is like 1sec+3sec+0.5sec.

As swift tag(50%) can do better than GSW(30%).

Moeba> Smoke Dust> Sneak Attack> Paralysis Shot> Impact> Finale> Holy Fist

And I got reduced the damage of Finale, did I get the combo right? Any recommendation?

 

o.m.g. i'm at the point to delete my mage then rebuild hahahahaha.

 

I apparently can't afford this mage's build, i mean, xtals etc. besides, pt nowadays doesn't know how to hold aggro. *sad solo player*
And, this mage have a really good tank

 

You could use GSW if you wanted to, but You might want to use sneak attack for it so you don't get targeted.

 

yeah, the mage on the video use sneak too. it's lv7, so amma think of rebuilding. or keeping what my mage have as i don't have that much budget to afford his build. it's 2000mp you know hahahaha.

 

Take Sneak, even on a shield mage.
Why? because mage's main DPS skill is 1,500 MP

 

Combo quite messy. Do this:

Moeba, armbreak save, reflex cons, para cons, impact cons, finale smite, smoke/sneak cons

This ensures niiiiceeee physical proration but dont use this in physical pts. Sub those physical skills with whatever skills u have.

But u say its lv144, quite high of a lv. Imo its cheaper to use that 5 orbs for reset/oblivion book. Waits for free orbs plus promotions patiently.

Even impact finale is does 90% of what an ideal mage does, the other things are auxillary/good to have but not neccessary. Sneak is a requirement tho.

Btw check out BK-sama's confirmation on brave aura at above post, confirmed enchance finale dmg too. Much better than confirmation from a nobody like me amirite?

 

Oh right, craft dia staff, - 50%aggro is better for finale spamer (like meeeee). I combine it with dk amulet (-25%aggro),(10%aggro from armor player crafted), biscuit knife (-20% aggro). With total - 105%aggro,its true my dmg is lower than most mages finale (my matck at lv129 is only 2066). Buuut, one some1 take aggro, i can spam it like fvcking crazzyyyyyyyy....

The gsw path doesn’t need expensive gears, it needs you to have the Queen Potum staff refined to atleast +C since you’re only gonna be a rotation of impact finale and gsw.
I use the 2 mp arrow mage combo, and I think it works perfectly fine, it just depends on which one you prefer better

 

May i know the combo you use?
