So I'm doing a full tech character, and I've been hearing that even if you reset points from tech stat, you can still keep the increased max difficulty? Is that true? Like if I reset tech points and now I have 0 tech points, will I still be able to synth a Revita V?

no, the one that still remain is the proficiency, not the player difficulty

You keep the item difficulty from the proficiency level but lose the 127 extra item difficulty from having 255 Tec. For example say your prof is 100 and Tec is 255 before the reset in this case you have 227 item difficulty but when you reset so your Tec is now 0 but prof stays the same your item difficulty drops from 227 to 100.
