i am very confuse and want to know that how short range and long range dame work what stat long range short range effect and what skill long range of shot skill effect

every attack launched at 7m or less deals short range damage, every attack from 8m or more deals long range damage.
casted magic attacks are unaffected by range. (only javelin and impact use it)

the range counts when the attack activates, not when it is executed.

so if the target is moving towards you and you tap the skill button at 8m range but the skill hits at 7m, it still counts as long range since you activated it at 8m.
likewise if you tap at 7m and the monster runs away and you hit at 9m, it is still short range.
