Hey there! I'm new to Toram (started around 5 months ago) and so far, have a Gun Fu main that's level 76 (although he's up to date with the main quests), and an Angelus Mage that's level 67.

Since the Tamer skills were released (yesterday) I thought about it, and decided to make a Tamer and Blacksmith character in one. Upon realization, I've done a grave a mistake and am willing to reset. However I'm still confused with what both classes could accomplish.

    - Can the blacksmith class, make equipment that the NPC Crafted can't? (since I noticed, people can create Icestaffs, Anniv weps, and armor that you can't find their names on the consignment board, such as the Twilight Dragon dress)
    - I've seen some guides on Blacksmith, and don't understand entirely. Could the refining blacksmith create stats? (C111 and such)
    - If not, could the equipment blacksmith create armor with stats, or just the armor?
    - What are pets for? Could they be stronger than actual characters such as my Gun Fu?
    - Is a hybrid of tank/priest/archer and tamer possible? Would it actually be useful?

I understand some of these questions have been answered before, but I can't seem to find any of those answers online. I also understand some of these questions could be a little too early (a lot early, actually) before answering, but I'm confident in someone answering this in the near future. Thank you for your time, and reading. :)

I say it's a bit too early to decide what route you would want to take, but I'd say tamers are likely going to be overrated, and lot of people will have them. make a dex or tech blacksmith.
At max level, you can make any weapon the blacksmith has to offer that time, the NPC can make more stuff, but everything has fixed stats. a player smith's custom stats are a lot more helpful.
as you are still level 67, the game assumes you cannot get an ice rose and so does not show you gear that needs ice rose for crafting.
or maybe it's the quest progress.
can some one else take over the pet questions? I've not tried it yet

Pets are like mercs, however you are able to train and customize them to your content. They are essentially additions to your party & while they won't deal DPS exactly like your gun-fu, they can provide other skills like holding aggro and support. Just depends on how you raise and train them.

everything that can be crafted by players is also available at the NPC smith. rings and add gear are the only items that are tradable, that's why you can't find npc crafted weapons and armors on the market ;)
every aspect about smithing has it's own skill.
normally a blacksmith can do everything, but some people are as crazy to make an extra character for each single skill :p
player crafted gear is always without stats, it has potential instead.
potential is consumed by the "upgrade" skill to add stats. you can add stats that you won't find on npc crafted equipment, but npc equipment also has some stats that players can't add.
pets are like partner/mercenary, but with a unique personality.
they can avoid red zone attacks and activate their learned skills according to their nature.
(it was said that mercenaries will also be able to use skills one day)
probably not, the skills are hard to match.
priests and archers want to avoid aggro, while a tank directs aggro to itself.
tamer skills are from the production category, like smith and alchemy skills. if you really want to use all their features, you won't have much skills left, so it's best to get some basic fighting abilities from your main weapon, some survival and the rest for production.
