    Rampage has always sucked.

They could have made a skill similar to phantom slash, which was somewhat what the old rampage seemed like... Expect you stayed in one spot swiping at the air.

They'll probably change the skill again... Depending on how much it's used. To this day, I've yet to see anyone outside of dw use rampage happily.

.... But we can rejoice in knowing T5 skills don't require points in rampage.

    Rampage could've been good...
If it was a buff that doesn't cancel after being hit by a debuff. Everything these days have a counter spike that's most likely a debuff.

    Yeah, agreed.

The original Rampage gave you an opportunity to finish the skill, as long as you avoided interrupts (flinch, tumble, stun, KB). But now, it's isolated from combos and vulnerable to full cancelation.

It's the most expensive attack skill, yet deals less damage with reduced reliability. Compared to other skill trees... snipe, Strike stab, triple kick...

I think they have a good concept. But have struggled to execute it in a useful way.
An example of an old rampage styled attack is Phantom slash. Where the attacks happen in quick succession, and you're invulnerable.
They managed to make a skill which was functionally relevant to the class, and useful.

I can only imagine, they didn't want to apply the same logic in another skill tree. But i think they could still apply the similar concept.

If they want to emphasize a beserker state, then they could have easily transformed it into a motion speed buff, with damage modifications to improve physical pierce.

Like, the attack has 3 powerful hits at the end...

But...if i could design the skill... I think rampage should be a randomised linear aoe skill. Where the enraged state causes the player to unleash swipes so powerful that they emit shock waves, in random directions sequentially dealing heavy damage, and on successful sequential hits having a dmg multiplier.

So we balance a powerful skill with chance. That emphasizes an enraged swords-person who has momentarily lost control...

I imagine they will revamp it again. I Haven't seen it used in boss fights, and an economic incentive exists for them to fuck around and fix that skill.

Rampage is GREAT!! for Dual swords i used it a few times it is great in a party that spams like there is no tommorow xD. But sadly i dont use it any more cuase like @Alycia said it could of been good if the buff wasnt cancelled out by stupid Status Aliments :notlikethis:

So, what you're saying is that you'll want Rampage to have a set zone (Say, 20m around yourself) that shockwaves launched from the sword swings can randomly fly around and hit anything in it's range?

    Yeah, exactly.
Imagine a swords-person slashing furiously and seeing projectiles flying all over the place. With the potential to do heavy damage.

A set animation like phantom slash, though you take damage once the animation ends.. . Or there is a damage limit you can take before you're overpowered.

Has the potential to do decent damage, but the risk of death. High risk, high damage.

For 500 MP... Make it worth the investment. And entertain your party while you're incapable of doing anything else until it finishes.

yeah but smite gives +50%dmg bonus and the skill right after a Save combo skill gets -60%dmg. So with that both the skills get -10%dmg.
You can do something like this:
    Moeba > smoke dust:save > trigger slash:cons > javelin:cons > impact:cons > sword tempest:smite > astute:cons > Strike stab:smite > holyfist:cons
Both get full dmg bonus and trigger slash is to make javelin faster.
