I'm confused. In guides and various posts I see a lot of people make their full 255 luk mage their refiner. But in all the blacksmithing guides it says your refiner should be full Tec. Which is better for refiner?

depends on what u want to do. tec refiner goes to +B/+A then luk refiner gets u to +S. most refiners i know switch between the two. when it degrades to below +B they use their tec refiner to get it back up, then switch over to their luk refiner to get it to +S

I see, so my Luk mage could be my luk refiner and my tec alchemist could be tec refiner? And both are kind of necessary for the best refining capabilities?

Well yea. But tec doesnt decrease refinement degradation. Only enhance refinement rates of success

Hello there, i'd like to ask if you max TEC, what stats next to build up? Is there a stat that makes the refinement decrease degradation?

Yes, Luk decreases degradation rate but you can't use both on one character.

Example: I have 255 TEC, what stat do I need to put other Stat Points? If just for refining.

Nothing. Only Tec and Luk affect refining

Not being rude but I know both your claims is a myth. Toram devs personally said only Tec and Luk affect refining, a few Luk refine characters are Luk mages with Int secondary stat yet have the same risk an results of a full Luk char with nothing in any other stat also my own Tec smith has Dex secondary stat so I know for a fact Dex doesn't change risk level.

lets say i got only a full luk refiner but i want to improve my unrefined items.
so starting from +0 with the luk char, since thats all i can work with. how does that turn out? will i blow immense amounts of spina to get it just to +E or is it absolutely undoable?

the basic things you should know is
TEC affect succes refine, while LUK affect degradation rate
    base from my experience,
if you use damas ore (without anti degra), from 0 to E using TEC refiner, they'll do faster than using LUK refiner

    why?
because base success rate still high, so tec user have benefit from it's
how about LUK refiner? you can do it too, but you're only gain benefit from degradation

    PS :
next time you do refine, please take look at risk meter (they have up to 10 broken tile, and we're assuming that each tile is 10%. so if all the tile were broken, the chance is low)
and if you have time (and/or) TEC and LUK refine, please compare those tiles before refining
