    Only a type of blacksmith does that and most of us buy from them through consignment board or directly buy the service from them, but be careful of scammers I still recommend board.

    May i ask. Im newbie katana and i want to have an efficient one,
    Im currently using modestia has crit rate 100, what ratio of the stats should i have? Should i focus more on str or dex now that crit rate somehow isnt a problem?

    I also dont know which xtals to have and what equipts.. theres so many to choose from and theyre all so good too.

    Odelon, cerberus, usami, baphomela, gwaimol, tyrant, lalvada, york, guignol, for atk and unsheathe damage..

    My goal is just 100 crit rate and a high ATK
    With 40 vit And maybe a good tenryuu damage at lvl 150..
    Please help me find the workable mix ; u;

    Usually ornlarf on armor is enough for survivability, baphomela on add and odelon for the rest would do the job, you can use venena instead of odelon on spec if you feel like you lack MP

    Theres not much difference in going str or dex, str deals a bit more for low def bosses and dex does better for high def bosses... Its not that big of a difference tho

    And please let the dead rest in pieces...

    One thing that I have noticed though, what the calculator says, and the actual outcomes of of your gear in the battle are can be completely different. My guildie and I were battling. Crystal titan when it first was released. I was tanking it he was using katana. I got the katana drop, I apples my and traded it with him so he could see what it looked like. He said it looked cool but his attack dropped 80 points. We both had refined B 3rd anniversary katanas, both had tyrant machine in them, he had gwaimol in his I believe(jail boss str and damage boost.) I had ultimate machina(I like my mp and physical pierce). He asked if he could try it out. He was blown away by the damage difference he was getting. Didn’t understand how with less attack he was doing more damage then was stated. Even his auto attacks hit harder. I appreciate the the research that you two put into the test, but did you perform the real (game) tests to confirm the results is what I’m wondering and stating in my rant.

    First of all. Did anyone use freeze ailment while your friend was comparing?
    What difficulty crystal titan was it?
    What stats did your friend have? dex>str or str>dex.
    It indeed really isnt that simple, the calculation given here completely ignores the existence of boss def and resist. It also ignores the +50% bonus atk from two handed as well as skill constants. These variables drastically change the outcome depending on the boss that you face.

    Crystal titan was on normal, he was just released we were just messing around. He is dex>str, I’m not sure the skill points he has but he was the one using my katana in the battle while we were fighting it. I was tank, my wife was finale, no element on staff, guildie was katana. There wasn’t a player change, it was just the katana that was switched which eliminates a lot of possible variables. I know even level changes can change the damage that is done. Sorry if I wasn’t clear in my post, he was using my katana and noticed more damage then he was doing with his. The attack was the same though, 89 I believe but it may have been 79. I got the modestia and have since sold that katana.

    Yep. I know your friend only changed katanas. I was mentioning the variables for explaining why this thread is outdated.

    If there was no freeze ailment then just considering ulti mach vs gwaimol, both should deal almost the same damage. Sure that atk difference is huge and crystal titan has high def yet coz of that high def ulti mach and the 4% pierce manages to add up a bit of the lost attack as well. The remaining can be covered by the 4% short range dmg.

    If your friend was seeing big differences then it can only be due to stability, part breaks and such. Freeze ailment especially gives +300% damage boost on that boss.
