Staff vs MD for support? haaaalp...

Greetings and salutations!
I had neglected my support build for awhile and decided today is the day to grow it! She was level 84 this morning now 105 as of this post! Now that my back patting is out of the way.. I once again come to you wise sages of toram with a question or two.. For a support build which is better staff or md? My end goal for my support is for pet growing but once team raids become a thing I want to be ready as well. I will focus on the 2nd row of the support tree so I need a proper weapon to best fit the build.

I will post skills/stats when I wake up as its almost 2am already..

Staff + knux
Chakra is IMO best support skill which needs more attention.

 

Staff for Priest Skills, since it boosts everything. and you can add Shield Skills too.

MD for Support Skills, since they have better mp recovery, stronger attacks and easier access to dodge.

Would Staff+Bare hand be considered staff knuck? I have 2 handed from the Mononofu skill tree. Having 2handed gives me more pet mp charge, mp charge, and maximizer um.. 'heals'.

I opted for using only 1 weapon. It seems evade is triggered more often for me that way and I get a small buff from using 2handed.

If I were to stat an MD device for support would evade/dodge be what I go for?

Since md will also benefit from having 2handed and we can't equip a 2nd weapon with md as main, will having an open secondary be considered "knuck"?

 

Nope, need to have the actual weapon equipped.
