Stat build

Good day!

Woops forgot to edit title as this is not just about stat build lol sorry.

Please bear with me as I have a lot of questions.
Turns out my first dw build (150dex 50agi 60+ str @lvl 95) is not optimal and I decided to make another dw char. Credits to cypherian as I followed his build then but I failed miserably haha.

I wanted to make an ampr dw using short phantom slash combos as a source of dps. I was wondering if the usual full str build with some dex and agi was the way to go for this or is there any other optimal stat build.

I am also looking for some advice on making short combos using the blade and dw skills (impact if I have to). The combo I am using is spin>astute(cons)>pslash(smite)>shadow(cons)> trigger(cons).

These are my equipment to show what I have and I would also love some advice on equips (currently broke though lol):
2nd anniv sword V +B full crit +13 (ganglef)
2nd anniv sword V +B stab elem cr7
Killer coat +C full crit +13 (jade raptor)
Grecia Mask +E (Jeila)
Muscle/Dex talisman III

The full STR rest AGI build is usually the way to go for maximized DPS. BUT you can go balanced like Cypherito (Cypherian with Kirito mixed lel) to minimize the amount of grazing you get (but you will need some extra refining/passives to compensate).

As for your combo, I suggest swapping Astute and Spinning. Spinning prorates as if it were a magic skill, so it will reset the proration for Phantom to hit harder. Your combo will also be more balanced in terms of proration (two autos via auto canceling is enough to reset proration again). If you can afford spending one extra MP bar, use Swift instead of Cons on Spinning.

As for items, no complaints here.

In general, strive for a build that suits you. Think of the builds here as guidelines and different points of view.

Im thinking going at least 150 str and then balance out agi and dex. Is this viable or should I focus on only one of the stats (agi/dex) for increased dps?

 

Viable enough. You'll graze less than most builds, so that's a plus.

astute>spin(cons)>shadow(cons)>Phantom(smite)>trigger(cons)
if u wanna follow cyphs combo use this
astute>spin(swift)>phantom(smite)>shadow(save)>trigger(swift)
also learn how to auto cancel for faster ampr

it's hard to explain how to do it, maybe u should look it up on youtube but i'll try my best to explain.

so u can only do AUTO CANCEL after you use the skill SHADOWSTEP(i think so anyway), do it like this :
… > shadowstep(combo ends), then attack once, then after that 1st attack (unsheathe attack), you FLICK(slightly move) the analog just a LITTLE BIT to the sideway or anywhere. then you'll do another attack.

you can do this auto cancel attack twice :
shadowstep > unsheathe attack > *flick* > normal attack > *flick* > normal attack
the benefit from doing auto cancel attack is you can get easy mp from just "not finished animation" attack(?)

 

need to end with trigger swift or put spinning before ss ^^
1. spinning slash consec > shadowstep consec (auto cancel 3-4 times)
2. shadowstep save > trigger slash swift (auto cancel 2-3 times)

well it doesn't need to end with trigger swift or spin slash cons before ss, as long as you once used shadowstep, you can do cancel attack, watch @Lynxia 's youtube videos and watch how Lynxia does it. he/she does not end his/her combo with trigger swift all i know is that it only works if you put ss in a combo

auto cancel can be proc with trigger and shadow step
i prefer to use spin>shadow(save)>trigger(swift) cuz its much easier than shadow step as ender..
i first tried watching some dw who auto cancel like schev and @Cypherian vids and i just got hang into it.. indeed i can auto cancel tho i cant still perfect it myself e-e

 

Hmm i see so my combo should end with shadowstep or trigger as I have read and then auto cancel for 2-3 times. THANK YOU!

 

Is that another combo that i should use just for auto cancelling or is any combo with an ender of shadow or trigger viable?
