    question aimed @Wyrix or other older players. has it always been 6 moddable stat slots on weaps/armors, or is there a chance they'll unlock a 7th in the future to allow for stat/atk +8% etc

    cause I imagine we'll need a lot of pot for 888's or 999's

    It used to be 4 slots, then with the implementation of tier3 bs skills, it got increased to 6 slots.
    I'd assume there'll be increases in the future.
    Do keep in mind that with the increase to +8%/9% , the pot return from negatives would also increase.
    Even though higher potential equip will be released, further increasing success rates, let's pretend we're stuck with 55pot.
    As you can see, the success rate isn't so terrible.

    stat+7%, atk+7%, cdmg+7%
    Minimum Potential: 55
    Step 1: add hpRec-7%, mdef-7%, dodge-7 (181pot left)
    Step 2: add stat+7%, atk+7%, cdmg+7% (-29=93%)

    stat+8%, atk+8%, cdmg+8%
    Minimum Potential: 55
    Step 1: add hpRec-8%, mdef-8%, dodge-8 (199pot left)
    Step 2: add stat+8%, atk+8%, cdmg+8% (-41=82%)

    stat+9%, atk+9%, cdmg+9%
    Minimum Potential: 55
    Step 1: add hpRec-9%, mdef-9, dodge-9- (217pot left)
    Step 2: add stat+9%, atk+9%, cdmg+9% (-53=73%)

    What do you mean pure dex? As in dex+11, dex+7%?

    dex+11, dex+7%, crit+11
    Minimum Potential: 9
    Step 1: add dex+1%, matk-1% (5pot left)
    Step 2: add dex+1, matk-7%, m.pierce-3%, acc-7 (158pot left)
    Step 3: add dex+11, dex+7%, crit+11 (-11=100%)

    If this is for crafting gears, I'd recommend adding acc-7, so you'll have left over pot, for future modifications.

    Step 2: add dex+1, matk-7%, m.pierce-3%, acc-7 (158pot left)
    Step 3: add dex+11, dex+7% (+4=100%)

    Or if you want max possible potential left over:

    dex+11, dex+7%
    Minimum Potential: 9
    Step 1: add dex+1%, matk-1% (5pot left)
    Step 2: add dex+1, matk-7%, atk-7%, acc-7 (167pot left)
    Step 3: add dex+11, dex+7% (+13=100%)

    Minimum Potential: 40
    Step 1: add hpRec-7%, def-7%, dodge-7 (166pot left)
    Step 2: add element, ele+11%, stat+
    *stat+11=-44=69%
    *stat+10=-39=75%
    *stat+9=-34=82%
    *stat+8=-29=89%
    *stat+7=-24=96%
    *stat+6=-14=100%
