Storm mage for newbie

Hi guys!!! I see a lot of builds for mage but my question is, For a newbie player Who have unlocked storm right now, without possibility of stringe gear but only the basics( right now i can't find a method to farm bosses alone) wich weapon is better starting with? I see no One using staff....and wich skill i have to unlock? Right now i have survival mage lv3 and matk buff. Thank you very much for the patience >.<

 

If you still a newbie to the game, its better to use your mage to farm some mats to help your dps char. Your mage can be versatile though, since mage can do dps and fast farming as well with storm. If you farming, try using md (magic device), since md AoE is larger than staff but the damage is lesser than staff, if you are going to boss farming, then use staff for higher MATK, as for equip you can started with is mostly use a drop staff from bosses or craft it at the npc blacksmith at sofya or el scaro. As for the md you can find it easily at mob name cassy at ancient empress tomb area 2, or if you have some spina, you can buy it at board or make it at npc blacksmith in the city

 

I suggest you list down what stats skills gears and xtals etc..you currently have. Then forumers will defintely know the right path youll take

Md is needed for fast farm, if you see some player wether at any farming spot (nc, pova, cassy, etc) you will see their mage is using a magic device as a weapon for better performance in farmig rather than staff, staff only use on fighting stronger mob like boss and miniboss. As for 1h i suggest dont use 1h while farming, instead using it for boss farm, since some player didnt like people who use other weapon than md while farming. Its better you make your mage as versatiles as posible so you can use it to farm and killing boss. Hope its help

 

Every reply help me! So thanks everytime you find time to text back! Maybe i write wrong What i want to say, the character have main weapon and subw. So my question is, md is only subw so i have to left the main empty?

 

No use the md at your main weapon and cast the strom

 

it depends on if u wanna farm to do things. as of now with the boss drops and stuff i would recomend u use 2hs since they are very clean and simple to use. plus the sword drops are good for it. personal opinion tho

 

don't use md for boss farming. staff for boss farming.. md if u are farming small mobs

 

Sorry i didnt catch that one, every sub weapon can become a main weapon, except for arrow and dagger. Use the md as your main weapon if you farming
