Strongest of them all!!!

Currently there are 3 dps mage builds i have read - Egg's Arrow Mage, Irusaru's Dagger Mage, Angelus Shield Mage. I like to know the opinion of other mage user's regarding the following:
1. pros and cons of each build
2. the build that deals the most dps on boss fights

I like the dagger throw spammer if you want to troll physical dmg user (1h/2h/halberd/etc). But the best for pt run is the sheild type semi tank support.

 

In my opinion angelus mage is best considering overall performance

 

Egg's pewpew arrow mage:-
Pros:- Very high dps because of smoke shot save and fastest combo. Also very efficient in making 1mp triple smited combos which give consistent dps over a long battle.
Cons:- Low resistance/survivability despite the fact that it has the highest aggro, may require to be with a tank for certain bosses.

Egg's gandalf shield mage (Updated version of precaria's angelus build)
Pros:- Approximately 20% less total dmg but 100% more survivability than arrow mage according to our rough calculations. Making it the best mage for soloing bosses and can also tank if theres no spammers in party.
Cons:- Combo with guardian (aggro generator) are considerably slower than arrow mage which can reduce mobility in case you want to move away quickly to dodge a deadly move.

Rest all mage builds here are outdated

 

Dagger and Arrow mages have similar pros and cons, They show the big ticks but will die if the boss touches them. you can attack from range to help avoid that. Dagger mages have less aggro.
Shield mages have less DPS( but it's still fairly high), but they have a lot more survivability, however longer combos could leave you in trouble in some cases. then there's also bosses like PG and Nure which might force you to use heavy combos.
you wanted the big ticks, so go for an arrow mage. Good luck

 

Well im a dps arrow mage myself n i out-dps most angelus mage especially in a long run battle, (with the help of smoke dust as saver of cos). The only backfire is hi-aggro which can be a nightmare to an arrow mage who have -defenses% pnalty with arrow as sub x.x

1. i got a spammer in my pt o.o
2. using aggro reduction arm. exmple =
im7% aggro-10% (even tho im7% cspd+12% r waaay better)

Angelous using the idea of stun and storm. Egg and other uses attacks from distance and storm. Depends how you play, you might want arrow for stability for storm OR you want dagger to deal added dps.
