Suddenly doing immensley less damage?

My character is a lvl 93 Halberd. Normally, I'm used to doing close to 30k with my Strike Stabs. However, today I realized I'm luck to push 5k. I've check all my equipment, combos, etc and I've been trying it out on a few different mobs for a couple hours now. I just can't figure out for the life of me what's changed. Can anyone help me out please? Thanks

 

depends on boss/ mobs too.. boss has diff proration rates.. also whats your combo?

 

where u bossing some boss like scrader has certain annoying deffense where our atk reduced sometimes to a mere 6 point. c

 

Maybe I don't understand how proration works. I was farming Daddy Finpen quite a lot today. My numbers were low then too. However, I've been travelling all across the map for a while now, trying different abilities and mobs and getting the same, low numbers. My combo is SpikeDart>Warcry(Save)>Strike Stab(Smite)>AssaultAttack(MindsEye). It's been that way for a while.

Does proration persist for hours/for any minion?

 

nope ur dmg on daddy fingpen has been prorated with normal attacks.. since im sure u do normal first before using ur combo.. then when u use combo in normal mob.. u just dont use normal to prorate., thats what i think

 

I have tried mixing in basic attacks and some other skills to test that. Same results. Not to mention I've essentially been fighting the same way the entire time. I used to get 30k Strike Stabs on the same minions.

 

got a pt or merc or pet with u?
also never spam skills cuz of proration..
always do 4-5times auto

How can I test out full proration?

 

Rant Ghost: Maybe boss didn't have an alignment?
Strike Stabs full potential is unleashed on a alignment target...
And to test out proration...just get some mage mercs and let them hit for a few sec while you do just auto.

Starting to think I might just be remembering my numbers wrong. Feel like I'm losing my mind a bit. I tried out fighting Metal Stinger and, some of the numbers I saw were pretty close to what I'd want. Crits of 15k. But then I would get these weak 1.5k stabs. But if ya'll can tell me that, for my level and gear, this damage output looks normal. I'll believe ya' and leave it at that. Forgive the dying.

 

Thanks, that helps me a lot. So when I'm scoring 2k x3 - 5k x3 it's because I'm not properly prorated?

 

Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me. What I don't understand is how, in say Rat's videos, he's doing like ...50k x3 with his stabs. I know he's lvl130 and finley tuned but that seems like such a huge disparity from the 5k-15k that I'm getting. Does that stuff really just scale that quickly?
