Suggestions for a top tier brawler class?

I need some suggestions on a brawler build. I've looked through forums and videos and tbh, I'm really lost. Do I really just follow the recommendations the game gives? Seems a bit bland. On the other hand, all I see for suggestions on the web is using a different class meshed with Brawler. I'm so lost.

Also acknowledge that I'm a super noob. Abbreviations or common Toram "slang" will confused me.

Go half AGI, half DEX. I know your hit rate might not seem that important at first, but trust me, it will help you out later on. You should also consider remodeling your armor to light in order to get a FLEE(dodge)&ASPD boost. Another thing to remember, is that a brawler's main purpose is (usually) to interrupt your target's attacks(using things like flinch, tumble, and stun), and sometimes even weaken your targets(you can use shot skills for weakening, but you need to equip an arrow in your offhand slot).
Before you reach lvl70, use shell break for heavy-armored bosses, and smash for lighter bosses (but you should try to unlock combos to use them both at once). When you reach lvl70, use Triple Kick for damage.
A good combo for 70 or less is Smash> Shell Break(Save)>Bash(Smite)>Sonic Wave(Swift) (costs 1mp), or you can swap Bash with Shell Break to deal more damage(this will cost 2mp),
and for +70, just replace Bash with Triple Kick, and set Sonic Wave to Consecutive.

I'd like to ask, it sure doesnt feel as if Dex matters, but what makes me avoid it is that so many say to just go pure agi for now.

It is true that you will deal a lot more damage with full AGI, but when I first started the game, I decided to go full STR with a 1h. Because of my decision, I wasn't able to hit anything when I got to higher levels. If you really want to deal more damage, maby you should try going 2/3AGI, and 1/3DEX; that should give you high enough of a hit rate to hit your targets frequently, and still deal a good amount of damage.

 

Accuracy is shit, if you wanna hit stuff raise your crit rate, look at the vid i posted, thats my build, after i kill arco ii show my build

Personal Stats doesn't get activated until level 40 if I remember correctly. So CRIT won't be possible.

Another thing a lot of people aren't aware of is that a brawlers DPS also lies a lot within their auto attacks, so you might want to consider getting Aggravate and Strong Chase Attack.

Anyways, here's another question then. Komibii is right, I'm new. My knowledge of the game is minimal.
So first question here, how do I raise my crit rate? If the answer is crit gears, I'm not sure what those are.

 

gears with crit+ stat on them .u.
example, for player made gears, u can have crit+13, crit+13% stats etc
for non player made gears, u can have gothic additional gear, which gives crit+15
some boss drop gears have crit+ on them too, example killer coat boss dropped, gives crit+10

 

Have you ever really used a brawler?
You can use Aggravate and Srong Chase Attack to shred a target's health down pretty quick. DPS isn't all about big numbers, frequency is important too (people glorifying the biggest numbers is a big problem in this game, and many other MMORPGS).
With Agrvt&SCA at lvl10, you have a 50% chance (maybe 75%) to deal an additional 2/3 of your damage with an additional attack. Assuming that your autos deal 5000 damage (that's the most I've seen), you would deal 3333 damage with Aggravate.
Being that you have a 50% chance for this to activate, it would average out to +1666 damage per attack (+2499 if it's 75). So in this case, you would be dealing a lot of additional damage. Aggravate & SCA might not be the first skill you would want to get, but it would be a good addition to a DPS brawler build.

for brawler starters, dont worry about accuracy til u hit lvl 55-70ish

just go full AGI and equip jamadhar and iron thorns to get critical rate boost. (you might want to add CRT stat when you reach 40. 30-35 CRT is enuf, dont add more than that)
always equip armor with crit rate on its stat.
dont rely on dodge and aspd stat too much since it wont be much effective (remodel your armor into light armor is more than enuf to survive as logn u have High AGI stat).

strong chase and aggravate is a must have passive for brawler. Hoewever u dont have to make those as priority in early level. i suggest to utilize mandatory active skill (smash, sbreak, swave, bash) . Be a disabler in your younger days and try to raise your ATK when you gradually advance to higher levels
