60-70k hp is only possible with mercenaries on defender or with special vita + (+100% maxhp)

By using vita plus special, VIT gem, VIT gem+ You can prolly reach 60k+ but whats the point of reaching that high? . _.

You know that its a problem when boss colon is doing 13k damage to you.

 

I would rather have more resistance than hp, hp is just a waste because of Fractionals

Assault Attack> Trigger Slash (save)> Binding Strike (swift)> Rage Sword (cons)> - 100 mp

I think switching Trigger Slash and Binding Strike is better for your combo Binding strike skill is fast already so i think no need to add Swift + Motionspeed to it id rather swift trigger slash + motionspeed buff to Rage Sword

 

Bosses like aranea can do 100% fractional attack, even with full refine it will still do 65-70% of your maxHP as damage.
Now if you got 77k hp it will still do 50k damage which is a total of 25 revitas to recover on in short 250 sec ._. Unless you are spamming mini heal/ p def wasting your mp and losing aggro. A shield mage with 7-8k hp has better chance of surviving aranea than any pure tank.

Even with p def its really hard to time it as all the spiders keep spamming aoes making it difficult to see.
For a boss that doesnt do fractionals yeah very high hp can be useful, so it still depends on the boss. Theres no single best stat for surviving unlike dps which is most of the time just ATK, cdmg and ele.

 

eva tank might have chance in surviving that boss
i tried w my 1h arrow tank, we were struggling for the first time. bec all member are spamming, so avoiding aoe while maintaining aggro was harder than usual bosses. but at 2nd - 4th run, all pt members are playing with proration and my tank can hold aggro pretty well from afar (using smokedust and sanctuary combo), keep kiting and make aranea stay nearby at storm area.

the other boss that have 100% fractional attack is bexiz, those blue straight aoe, will definitely kill u in 1 hit when u do Nmare + gem run, no matter how much hp u got. The only way to survive is avoid that aoe.

 

Yeah If blue aoes are fractional they will get increased by gem and higher difficulty unlike red aoe fractional which remain same for any difficulty/gem. Inzanio and imitator will be really tough on high difficulty. At least shield users got p def now =^) even more reasons for shield tank to prosper.
