Okii so im making katana my 6th and last charc(probably)
Its already lvl114
Full dex rest str
So here my question
1. Should i put pts in crit
2. What do i do to maximize my tenryu

Heres my gear
Ktn c.tesla 73 A7ccc15 ref B (odelon machina)
Arm fc15 (dont ask abt def as its pathetically low donate me an arm guys ) iconos
Top hat 9 perc odelon
Dex talisman 4 goovua.
So far my dmg is
230k on zannou
32k 48k 66k on tenryu (per hit so it gets multiplied by 4)

 

putting any points in crt is a waste imho. it gives too little crit rate for every stat spent.

once you've set tenryu buff to 30 secs, use a normal attack before using another tenryu. damage will be higher. its better than squeezing in as many tenryus in 30 seconds mp management and proration wise. you might want to ditch the talisman and get a cheap machina 2slot for easy goovua, odelon.

base on your gears,i also did the calculation.

with two-handed and critical up skills at level 10.You should have 77%~ crit rate,which means you have to put 62 points into crt stat to acchieve 100% crit.

either that,or you can use Meikyo Shisui for +45 crit rate.But it decrease your defense and you have to use it alot because the effect disappear when you use other skills..

i'm also using katana but i have gothic hat and bexiz so i only need to put 7 points into my crt stat for 100% crit rate.


If you want to use Tenryu effectively,you need to learn how to time madagachi (do not get hit) or zantei (get hit at the right moment),then it will be simple after that,just spam,every Tenryu after the first one gave the buff becomes 100 mp.

it is count as an unshealthe attack (odelon/goovua/baphomela/twilight dragon works) and the damage increasing is far more fast and superior compare to other damaging skills (imo) if used correctly.

 

Ah i noticed it i always hit twice before hitting another tenryu as my ampr pretty decent as i dont run out of mp .
Should i invest in shot skill tree

 

62 is it man too much in crit i will buy gothic hat i guess

it might be worth it for quick draw i think,because it fits very well with tenryu spam mechanics.

it is still optional though,it gives you a better advantage in some situations,but having Kairiki Ranshin (increasing ampr alot) and Shukuchi too,you should have little problem in restoring back mp,using sub items like red purple jelly also helps.

when i have kairiki on,i usually recover back 100 mp every normal attack,which is enough to save some proration and execute one more Tenryu.

 

- top hat user has no choice but adding extra CRT stat to get 100% critical.
(...mine was 50pts on CRT and it was 85% critical iirc, Coryn club may help)

- The next 2 Odelon(s) will lift your tenryu up to 90k~100k, i believe.
(...mine was 80k per hit with 3odelon,asuming we have a same skills)

- if you have extra spinal, using element katana will be the best option to deal very high dmg.
Replace critical+15% with element and atk+7% with stronger to element by 14%.

 

ktn skills demand a lot of points so its better to invest in other skills (god speed, flashblast) than getting quick draw. make use of the dashback after a tenryu from shukuchi then dash in for ampr. thats what i do when low on mp.

id go for goth bapho, odelon over top hat to solve my crit problems. losing 9% unsheathe but being able to freely use non crit stat elemental katanas should be a better trade off i think.

May I ask but will the tenryu buff stops if I use skill other than zantei or magadachi? The 1mp thing?

nope, the only way for the 1mp buff to disappear is when the buff time reach 0.

when you cast Tenryuu, there will be 10 seconds buff time, in that span of time you need to:
Parry an attack with zantei
(zantei's 5th hit will be replaced with "Tenryuu Ransei: Zannou")
Or
Use magadachi without parrying
(the moment magadachi blade hits the target, it will switch animation and name to "Tenryuu Ransei: Zannou"

After executing zannou, the buff timer will reset to 30sec, in that 30sec try to use tenryuu 4 times(stacking buff) and do zannou again.
That and equip crapload of odelon

So u r saying I could use it as combo starter ryt? Another thing is since in my zantei last part will be zannou will it still negate atk to 0 when I got the ryt timing

 

dont make it as starter, ull regret it. i did it, then i cant stack it. so better to keep it as individually. possible to use zantei as starter then smite garyou. OPed
