The Breaker Mage Guide

If only mdevice can use a sub weapon. I would go mdevice+knuckle.

 

I just want to confirm that breaker reward comes from #s of skills with status effect you landed on target.
By means of loss of damage wearing knuckle main is minimal on the stat lets assume -5-10 you wont even notice that on your mage skills.

 

That will be Overpowered for sure

 

mage breaker solo? i just use shield skill for stun and then all i can break with 5s stun and then BAAAAM i killed boss with my mage dps haha, fast and efficient

If this were true; a warrior would never get breaker rewards over any brawler.

 

I might have to check this out. Can you break astol's head like that?

 

you can check my build in my signature below there i solo silver roar with shield stun, but it only while lvl cap is lv55 now lvcap 65 i not yet share my build, for astol you must have sonic wave for tumble and stun cant for that head, anyway just do on your way if you think it the best

Weird build. I get the whole soloing thing, but it's inefficient at most. A Mage's main dependability is it's ability to one, always land a hit, and two, hit hard. This cuts back on your damage just to ensure your breaks land. Soloing bosses is a matter of kiting, tbh. Cast wall + run. It's boring, but it works. But if you enjoy it, more power to you. Lol

 

Thank you i just got VERY stuck leveling up, I had all my Skill points in wrong places. so this looked interesting. Well meaning advise went wrong for me but what do I know I'm just a body-man not a gamer, Yet.

 

HinderTa, your mage build depends on your playstyle. Do you prefer magic or melee attacks? Identify your primary offense strategy and then develop secondary (contingency) tactics to counter as much weaknesses as you can.

I think the differences between the 2 constructs here comes from different strategies.

M.D - Higher P.ATK, slightly lower M.ATK, Lower status ailment proc
- Primary offense strategy is mid-long range magic attacks
- For mobs and bosses who survive the magic attacks, they will be killed with melee-range physical attacks
- The focus of this construct is killing and damage, not breaking

Knuckle + M.D - Higher M.ATK, Low P.ATK, Higher status ailment proc
- Primary offense strategys is still mid-long range magic attacks
- For melee-range combat, tactic is to break (inflict status ailments) and retreat to a distance.
- This construct is not suitable for physical combat due to very low P.ATK

This was my Plan Develop Mage First which I did Not do before.

 

So someone gets the point. Its a very different build for a mage. And it works very well for how i use it. I had a dps mage but this is better for me and more fun to be a scrappy mage than just wall everything all day every day. This the most enjoyable char i have.

 

I agree with you both I we were new and dug up some old or bad info, i will not point fingers Because I am Very new to this type of Play, heck Give me a car to rebuild that I can do, well could, before back and other things decided for me to slow down. anyway i love to explore and learn new things and because of my recent anime addiction,( is there an anime anonymous), I have learned to enjoy this gaming style yes I will most likley stay a novice, but i also enjoy helping others, so hear I am learning, Thank you for your help, and hopefully continued help.

Yeah, I need to update this thread badly. I know.

That's a good build. Enough hp to survive or tank when necessary. Goldie isn't a good mon for this kind of vid. It doesn't show much other than your combo. (That's a good combo btw.)
Breaker mage is a completely different build. Its only mid dps and an Eva.
Yours seems to be high dps and has the shield tree. Which is a very nice/smart build. But you couldn't switch that to a breaker mage. You'd need to make another char.

What combo would you suggest for this build? I'm not sure exactly how to take full advantage of my martial skills with this build. I was thinking about Arrow, lances, bash, wall. I really want to make a breaker mage and this is a sweet guide for a guy that likes to play the solo soldier to follow on the subject. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

That's my main combo.
Its a stunlock combo and 100MP.

I have finished my 4th version of this class. The new one has an "infinite combo" which will REGEN 150-232 Mp per combo chain. It also has a secondary dps combo.

Look forward to that.
