Ultimate Gem Function?

I just got an Ultimate gem (And also a resurrection gem)
From recycling some of my avatars. I want to know it's function. It is the same as the +100% drop rates that you can can get by using books?

Nah. Ultimate gem is a guarantee, for all drops from the boss. It's a base drop +100%.

You might be tempted to sell them, and people offer to pay you to use it. But I suggest, based on my own experience. That you use it when you're at a higher level and against a boss, who people struggle to defeat / has a valuable xtal. No point wasting it on the current bosses, as the xtals are somewhat easy to get.

 

You have a point there. But there is kind of a loophole. If people struggle with the boss, you will struggle with it too, and +300% boss damage and -90% damage to boss is like killing the boss ten times over, when it's on steroids. And the maximum value of the gem is when used in nightmare mode. A.K.A
Anyway, your gem, your desecion. I'd say it's best to save it for later. But I still want that party slot

 

I buy too XD 120 mage dps and funcion is 100% rare drop of boss which is mean all dye color+xtals on it boss u decided but nightmare diff for weapon dye is required +your damage to boss will be lowered and danage taken get even high

 

Well if you get stronger first would be easy to win but if u can be support its good for ur lv + 1tank and i would be take mage dps place if you still had slot Xd

 

As others already said before me here Ult Gem guarantees all drops from any boss you fight but have to fight on the hardest difficulty for best use only downside is that your damage is dropped down to 10% and bosses damage is boosted to the point that it can potentially one shot all members besides maybe the tank in the party so don't go full DPS unless you want the battle to take a long time and have multiple party wipes against the boss :3
