    Hi Guys!

First of All, THIS IS NOT A DAMAGE BUILD. DPS, CAN BE, BUT NOT BUILT TO DO MASSIVE DAMAGE.
    Consistency > Burst.

And I am back! with a revamped/updated guide on my DW Build, which solely revolves around Surviving, Spamming, and Prorating.
you can read my old guide here <--- Click This

I won't be covering values or damage computations here. So you won't be disappointed by the damage you do early on, and making you quit.

First of all I will be mixing in some things Here from my old guides while bringing some new knowledge to the table, some of you may know, some of you may not.
Secondly, this build was not made to DPS. This build was made to adapt. Solo, PT, Farm, What ever you name it.
This build is my child, and it has not disappointed me ever since, and as time goes by, this build grows along to adapt to new metas, adapt against new builds, while still keeping its core of high AMPR.

In my first guide, I solely revolved around Utility Skills, DW and Blade Skills, and not taking any xtals that increase Damage or offensive stats.
    Now on to the breakdown

    First of all:
    Stats.
I will breakdown my stats and explain why I decide to run these kinds of stats on my build.
150 Dex -> at 150 Dex, I have found a value on my atk that I am comfortable with, still dealing decent to high damage on skills that burst and skills that spam.
100 Agi -> I stuck with 100 Agi because it gives me a decent amount of dodge that lets me survive when I solo, gives a decent amount of ASPD, and with the weapon I have now for my sub-weapon, a 125+D Tomahawk. My sub weapon deals higher damage than my main weapon. I will explain Why later.

For the rest of the Stat Points, You can choose between:
Str -> Increases over all damage for both hands, gives CDMG.
Vit -> If you wanna go that tanky route with high def and high HP
Crt -> viable only if you took non-Crit Rate Stats on your equips.
Int -> IF and only IF you wanna go for that Magic Blader Build, Arrow Javelin Impact Lance are the most viable skills because it casts quickly and prorates the damage faster.

I personally went for STR because I wanna see how high my damage can be, building to 100 Str, if given the change, I will also get Vit, so I can survive more.

    Skills:

    Core Skills:
MAX ALL DW PASSIVES, THIS IS A MUST.
Maxed out Trigger Slash ->This is important incase you are against an enemy in uneven terrain and if you wanna spam a skill on uneven terrain or on an immobile boss.
Maxed out Shadow Step -> Shadow Step has higher scaling based on your max MP. You can only see the difference if you have around 1k MP. Also a good re-positioning skill that you can abuse to your advantage, if timed just right, you can execute 9 Shadow Steps consecutively with 1000 MP.

    DW Skills:
Personally I max out all Skills on the top Tier: Twin Slash, Spinning Slash, Phantom Slash.
I like to be a sticky fighter, hence I only get lvl 5 Charging Slash as a Pre-Requisite for Shadow Step
Twin Slash -> Level 10 -> For Maximum Damage
Spinning Slash -> Level 10 -> Main AOE, Knockback and Blind Skill, Gives high damage when used correctly.
Phantom Slash -> Level 10 -> Although it gives high damage, I only use this often when Soloing and when I have the chance to deal high damage in a PT Battle.
Cross Parry -> Level 5 -> Nice increase in ATK and ASPD and is a crucial life saver when used correctly.
Charging Slash -> Level 5 -> Only used as my disengage skill on combos against bosses who have multiple close range AOEs.

    Blade Skills:
Hard Hit -> Level 5 -> Pre-requisite to Astute and Trigger Slash
Astute -> Level 5 or 10 -> Gives high damage and high crit rate boost.
Sword Mastery -> Level 5 -> Not much difference in atk on either Level 5 or Level 10.

    Survival Skills:
    Max HP Boost
Fighter's High -> Level 1 -> can get you regened up to max HP after a few ticks.

    Battle Skills:
Atk Up -> Level 5 -> Decent increase in ATK
Smash -> Level 5 -> Pre requisite to CrtUp and gives decent burst when activated
Crit UP -> Level 10 -> 5% increase in Crit Rate and Crit Damage is a huge thing especially to DWs.

    Equipments:
    Budgeted:
Hi Atk 1st Anniversary III 1h, Slotted
Ooze Armor or Oracle Robe or Gladiator Arm
Magic Scarf or BD Crown or Flower Headband or Forehead Protector or Mole Eyes
Dex Talisman II or Warrior's Bangle

    Loaded:
    Hi Atk 1h, highest possible Refine, CEEE7%, @7% CEEE, @7% CD7%10
Any armor, Custom Stats can be Same as Weapon Custom Stat
Magic Scarf or BD Crown or Flower Headband or Forehead Protector or Mole Eyes
Dex Talisman II or Warrior's Bangle

    Xtals:
Variate between Moonlight Potum, Silver Roar, Eerie, MW, SG
Utility Xtals are Roga, Jade Raptor, Mauez.

    Combos:
With the 20 CP Cap now, I could make use of 3 100 MP Cons Spam Combos, 1 Smite Combo, and a Variating Combo depending on what I am fighting.

    My Favorite Combo:
Spinning Slash > Astute Cons > Trigger Slash Cons
Spinning Slash is a slow skill with huge delays after casting the spin, but with the Trigger Slash Buff, the motion speed buff helps you cast it faster, and with Astute as a high damaging skill along with Trigger Slash that can sometime be at par with Astute interms of damage. You get a decent to a high amount damage. The DPS from Spinning Slash actually help you prorate the damage. With the right control on auto attacks, you can combo spam and auto attack in between, helping you prorate and regen back the MP you used.

    Standard Breaker Combo:
Hard Hit > Astute Cons > Trigger Slash Cons
This is self explanatory. Every one who has went gone 1H knows about this combo.

    Defensive Combo:
Cross Parry > Twin Swift/Spinning Slash Swift > Shadow Step Cons
You do not need to boost Cross Parry's motion speed, why? Because the success rate of getting the buff and mitigating damage received is based whether on you're hit by the physical/normal attack of the enemy while the skill is Casting. Why Twin Swift or Spinning Slash Swift? After Mitigating the damage, and receiving a buff or Tumbling the enemy, you either do damage, or put some distance between you and the target, then quickly re-positioning yourself behind the enemy while the enemy is recovering from the Tumble/Knockback.

    Damaging Combo:
    Single Smite
Astute > Twin Smite/Spinning Slash Smite or Swift/Phantom Slash Smite > Shadow Step
With regards to Twin Smite and Phantom Slash Smite, it is self explanatory because most people see this as a damaging skill worth putting Smite on.
But why Spinning Slash Smited? Imagine a Twin Slash Smite doing 25k damage for a 300 mp Combo, do a few autos to regen the 300 mp and prorate, still gonna do 25k Damage. But with Spinning Slash, the tiny ticks from the tornado helps you with Proration and with Shadow Step on last, you automatically regen 100mp because of the Shadow Step AMPR Buff and you can auto attack one more time before the Spinning Slash DPS ends. A good Spinning Slash can hit initially for 9k and do around 500 to 550 tick damage 15 times, yes 15 times, so thats an easy 8k more damage. Plus the damage from Astute, which can reach up to 10k to 12k. thats an easy 30k combo, and the good thing about Spinning Slash is even if the initial hit misses, the ticks can hit, making up for the damage lost, unlike Twin and Phantom that doesn't do damage when evaded or it misses.

    Double Smite Combo:
This Combo revolves around the three Skills I have mentioned above.
    Astute > Phantom Slash/Twin Slash/Spinning Slash (Smite) > Trigger Slash/Shadow Step Cons > Twin Slash/Spinning Slash/Phantom Slash Smite > Shadow Step/Trigger Cons.

It is best to put Phantom Slash on the first Smite so that the potential Damage that can be done by Phantom Slash is not expended by either Spinning Slash or Twin Slash. Damage Wise That is.
Utility Wise, you would put the Skills with lower MP Cost on the First Smite so that even if you have enough MP for only a Twin Slash or Spinning Slash Smite combo, you can still do Tons of Damage(Phreak) and when you have atleast enough MP, you can do maximum damage with either Twin Slash or Phantom on the Second Smite.

    Tips and Tricks:

    Auto Attack Cancellation?

Damage Calculation between Main weap and Sub weap?

Maybe some other time. ;) It's still my secret that gives me the edge.

    sir, i have question..

if spinning slash damage ticks prorate, then wont other physical skill damage will be reduced because of it ?
if u happen to use double smite combo, and make spinning slash as the first smited and the twin slash smite, wont twin slash damage be reduced because spinning slash ?

The spinning slash tick damage counts as single hits because bosses can only be hit when inside your tornado radius.

Meaning more hits = more proration.

Wait if spin slash count as single hits, woudlnt the ticks from it steadily decrease?

I thought so too before. But it is skill damage, calculated with the initial hit. So that even if it counts as single.hits, the damage is still consistent because the damage is calculated at the start of the skill and not real time.

    Not really.
What he means is that Spinning Slash's hits count in proration because it hits multiple times, but the hits' damage doesn't steadily decrease because it's the same "attack instance". A similar phenomenon can be seen with Sword Tempest: it hits multiple times too, but the tempest's damage doesn't decrease; it just fluctuates depending on yout stability (or doesn't change at all if you're at 100% stab)

so spinning slash count as 1 single hit which mean only 1x physical skill proration.
lets say spinning slash do 30k total damage (the damage already calculated when u hit the skill)
then in game it will show 15k damage initial hit, and the 15x 1k damage (just for an example, dont quote me on that)
then if thats the case, he should've said that it only do 1x physical skill proration. just like any other multi hits skill

what got me confused is when he said , more hit more proration / or u can say all hits prorate, then it means spinning slash do 16x physical skill proration (1x hit from inital, and then 15x from ticks) , which will make his other physical skill weak.

And that's exactly what it is: it prorates 16 times. However, it only decreases the damage of the skills casted after it, not itself.
And the point of his build is to prorate a lot, then use nuking combos. That's why his autoattacks deal so much damage (and probably why he loves Spinning Slash, besides the damage).

if he want to use the nuking combos, then he just have to use auto attacks until boss auto attack resistance increase, and physical damage resistance decrease.
theres no need to bring the topic about spinning slash helps proration which is false.
he even said " the tiny ticks from the tornado helps you with Proration", which make me confused, it doesnt, at all.
unless the ticks not count as physical skill, or unless he wants to increase his auto attack damage like u said, but he doesnt state it anywhere in his OP.
