Spam Wise, Yes, in my opinion.
Tested in this procedure:
1 combo 1 auto in between
Combo's are
Astute > Twin Smite > Shadow cons
Astute > Spin Smite > Shadow cons
and
Astute > Twin Cons > Shadow Cons
Astute > Spin Cons > Shadow Cons.
Tested with 1000mp on Forestia
Auto > Combo > Auto from Shadow Step > Combo rinse repeat until no combo can be cast anymore.
Big difference in Total Damage output from both combos in favor of Spinning Slash.

so spinning slash is superior...
but the fact it has knockback + its a PBAoE skill, it will be difficult to land all hits when fighting fast-moving bosses.

 

It's actually somewhat manageable if you have aggro, but if you're fighting a Roga that loves to dash or Nure... Yeah, expect this whole build to fall apart.

 

Ahaha You need to think of counter measurement~!!

 

This is still theorycrafting, but the countermeasures are in the options:
- Trigger boosts the motion speed of Spinning, so it's easier to spam
- Phantom won't miss... Until you see the white "Miss"/red "Evade"

 

Hmm...Why don't you make tempest-phantom build later?? Seems like it has nice potential~

 

So you are phantom slashing while boss's still in tempest or slashing boss even boss escaped tempest

 

I solo'd nure using only a spammable spinning slash combo. The key to using spinning slash is control, if you can control yourself from casting spin, even if the boss moves away you can easily follow up and spam again. I beat a Sniper in PG once using spinning slash astute shadow trigger combo. All i did was keep on being sticky to the boss. And maintain DPS up time.

 

Hmm... what's the difference of casting time of spinning slash and tempest..?

 

There's a big difference:
- Spinning Slash is almost instant; it's just the "cast backswing" that is slow as heck
- Tempest has a very slow animation, but once the wave is shot, you can quickly follow up

 

Hmm...what about Phantom slash?? I heard it has chance to instant kill (1 hit kill)

 

Small mobs only.
If it could one shot bosses EVERYBODY would drop Sniper-Fu immediately.

 

What if they add head shot to snipe with making phantom slash able to insta kill boss??

 

People would still drop Sniper-Fu.
If they added another skill above Snipe it'll cost more mp.
Phantom has the same mp cost as Snipe. 4 bars.
