ZerChuy's Gun Fu Build (Lv135 Cap)

Hey guys I just wanted to share my Gun Fu build with everyone on forums
I Didn't create Gun Fu (Feel the need to get that out of the way)

Spoiler: Stats

DEX 255/CRT 51/STR 39 (VIT 50 if you plan to be more bulky)
5 STR gives +1 Critical Damage.
3.4 CRT Gives +1 Critical Rate.
DEX is a must for bowguns in order to increase attack.
CRT 51 gives us +15 Critical Rate
STR 40 = 8 Critical Damage. (Max out to 255 for the +51 Cdmg.)
VIT increase Max HP of Player

You Can Switch Moeba with Smash to interrupt bosses like Scrader or Roga before starting your combo.

Combo 1 B: [110% Triple Kick and 150% Snipe / 100mp / CP Used: 12]
Moeba-Smoke Dust(Save)-Bullseye(Consecutive)-Triple Kick(Smite)-Impact(Consecutive)-Snipe(Smite)-Shell Break(Consecutive)
Fast 100mp combo that makes Triple Kick above 100% Damage.

Combo 1 C: [110% Triple Kick and 150% Snipe / 100mp / CP Used: 12]
Moeba-Smoke Dust(Save)-Javelin(Consecutive)-Triple Kick(Smite)-Impact(Consective)-Snipe(Smite)-Shell Break(Consecutive)
100mp combo that gives an extra magic skill in order to increase damage of Triple Kick. Combo is slower but gives more Damage.

Combo 1 D: [130% Triple Kick and 150% Snipe / 100mp / CP Used: 14]
Moeba/Smash-Smoke Dust(Save)-Bullseye/Sonic Wave(Consecutive)-Paralysis Shot(Consecutive)-Triple Kick(Smite)-Impact(Consecutive)-Snipe(Smite)-Shell Break(Consecutive)
You can switch Bullseye with Sonic Wave if you are stuck in the middle of a combo and you need to interrupt their attack phase. (This combo is really not recommended due to the amount of physical attacks without proration and how long it takes to execute)

Combo 1 E: [130% Triple Kick and 150% Snipe / 100mp / CP Used: 14] (Most Recommended)
Moeba-Smoke Dust(Save)-Quick Aura(Swift)-HolyFist(Consecutive)-Triple Kick(Smite)-Impact(Consecutive)-Snipe(Smite)-Shell Break(Consecutive)
Fast 100mp combo with both Triple Kick and Snipe above 100% Damage.

Combo 2 : [150% Heavy Smash / 400mp / CP Used: 6]
Impact-Heavy Smash(Smite)-Smash(Consecutive)-Shell Break(Consecutive)
USE THIS COMBO ONLY WHEN SHELL BREAK HAS ACTIVATED FROM USING COMBO 1!!
You can also replace Smash with Holy Fist if the boss is Non-Flinch like Demon Gate or Cerberus.

Non-Flinch/Tumble Combo: [130% Snipe, 10% Stability / 100mp / CP Used: 10]
Moeba-Smoke Dust(Save)-Paralysis Shot(Consecutive)-Bullseye/Sneak Attack(Consecutive)-Snipe(Smite)-Shell Break(Consecutive)
Combo for Non-Flinch/Tumble Bosses.

Gem Run Tank/Breaker Interruption Combo: (Stun, Stop, Tumble) [150% Shell Break / 100mp / CP Used: 12]
Sonic Wave-Smoke Dust(Save)-Bullseye(Consecutive)-Bash(Swift)-Impact(Consecutive)-Shell Break(Smite)-Earthbind(Swift)
My very own Original Interruption Combo that I made for Gem Runs. You can begin from long range. Bash is put after swift in order to cancel the combo from long range in case you get targeted from far distance. Shell Break is added for the 400mp recovery and to get at least some damage done.

Original Element Bowgun: Element, 13% to element, Atk+7%, Critical Rate+13 (Pillar Golem)
Non-Original Element Bowgun: Element, 13% to Element, Critical Rate+13 (Pillar Golem)

Armor: Twilight Dress+E^ Dex+4~7%, Critical Damage+7% Critical Rate+13 Critical Damage+13 (Iconos)
Elemental Armor: 13% to Element, Cdmg+7%, Critical Rate+13 (Iconos)

Additional Gear: Gothic Hat+E^ (Critical Rate+15) (Twilight Dragon / Proto Leon) [Dps Gun Fu]
Forehead Protector+E (Hp+1500) (Grylle) [Tanky Gun Fu]

Special Gear: Dexterity Tailsman III ( York / Bexiz)

Spoiler: Potions

Power Candy: Atk+4% and Atk+40 for 30 Minutes.
Magiadd III: MaxMP +300 for 30 Minutes.
Vita Plus II: MaxHP + 1000 for 30 Minutes.
Revita V: Restores 4000 HP
Glow Ray Soup: +2% damage against all elements (except neutral)
Giga Speed Potion: ASPD+750 for 30 Minutes.
Magic Absorption Stone: Attack Mp Recovery +6 for 30 Minutes.

Information:
1. Since Gun Fu has a long combo it will be vulnerable, so it's important to remodel your armor to heavy in order to reduce damage taken.
2. Refining Armors and Additional Gear increases Physical & Magic Resistance by +1% and Fractional Resistance by +1% per each refinement level. It's important to have both refined +E^.
3. Pillar Golem gives Mp+300, Short Range Damage+3% and Physical Pierce+3%. This is much better than Ganglef
4. If you picked Twilight Dragon as the Additional Xtal, you'll be doing Short Range Damage+7% (Twilight Dragon + Pillar Golem) This will give us a significant boost in Damage.
5. For bosses such as Warmonger or Scrader, Opening up with Smash will let you use your combo from short range. This will give us more damage due to the The Short Range Damage % Bonus we get from Pillar Golem and Twilight Dragon (If that's your Additional xtal)
6. For 2S Bowgun, Ganglef and Pillar Golem will be the xtals you'll need to use.
7. Gun Fu Generates a lot of Aggro. Be prepared to consume multiple Revita V
8. Gun Fu does poorly with the following bosses: Jade Raptor, Nurethoth, Pillar Golem, Twilight Dragon, Zolban, Evil Crystal Beast, Imitacia, Imitator and Iconos
9. Having an all Physical Party will greatly lower your overall damage.
10. Heavy Smash damage will not be as strong as Sword Fu or Staff Fu due to the lack of investment in STR
11. Gun Fu has the Longest combo compared to other Fu builts. Don't be surprised if you lose to a Sword/Staff Fu or ANY variation of Halberds.
12. VIT will be the third stat you work on after CRT if you go for tank/breaker route.
13. Knuckles are the sub weapon in order to maximize damage of Martial Skills.
14. Gun Fu can't hold aggro was well as Sword Fu or Staff Fu
15. Martial Discipline at Lv10 gives you +5% damage increase to Martial Skills . (Need Knuckles as Sub Weapon in order to receive the boost)
16. Paralysis Shot Gives +5% Stability. (+1% Stability every Level), This will be useful when using the Non-Flinch/Tumble Combo.
17. Since Iconos Enchances our Roga Xtal to +2000 HP, we won't have the need for HP Boost.
18. If you get armor break with snipe you can use heavy smash combo and still get the x2 damage.
19. Critical Damage+, Critical Damage+%, Critical Rate+, Physical Pierce+%, Short Range Damage +%, Atk+20^, Atk+% and Dex+% Should be the stats to go for on your Avatar.

i guess this level 130 give more options for build cause of that roga xtal will let us preserve 15 SP from survival skills~

It looks like a nice guide (even though I never liked playing gun fu)

I did want to ask about a few things though, based on my limited understanding of gun fu

This seems contradictory? Does sneak attack level 1 reduce aggro enough to even matter for gun fu, since it generates so much aggro?

In my understanding (idk for sure because I rarely farm bosses anymore) all -fu builds constantly spam skills, so wouldn't the reduced damage be because of the skill spamming (bad proration)?
I mean obviously magic users would help balance proration, but wouldn't a physical party just destroy proration faster than if you were solo?

Damage of your combo will go way below. Impact gives little proration, but it wouldn't be worth using gun fu in an all physical party due to proration of impact being used up too quickly by other physical skills from the rest of the party.

Sneak attack is used for the Non-Flinch/Tumble Combo (Forgot to put that skill) XD

 

Base 25% +15 from hat +6 from warmonger +5 crit rate from bexiz + 13 from armor and +13 bowgun.
you'll have 77% Crit rate ouo/
If I had Crit +%. it would be calculated different.

Yes, but it's a 75% chance without Crysta Xtraction while 100% with extraction.

Click on edit Crysta and click "Upgrade Crysta" You'll get a notification warning you of the 75% chance to get your 1st Crysta back. the upgrade works 100% of the time tho.

Basically the xtals will switch places. You'll need extraction to 100% get the xtal
