Thoughts on Halberd (Spear skill)

I rewatched the preview of the spear skill and in my opinion I think it has a great potential. I'm totally going to try to create my first build from it!

 

It has great potential, though just like my vote, it doesn't matter to me coz I won't use it. A brawler doesn't need spear after all. ^_^

 

I like the magic skill that makes your next attack do a critical hit after casting it.

 

Well, I will try it out...just won't get my hope up for it to much.
Seeing how the preview was kinda disappointing.

 

It was only a bit disappointing for me because I know that Asobimo just throws us a new skill tree and we have to try and readjust new skills, new builds, etc. Its like what a normal mmorpg would do, but the difference is that we can combine it with different skill trees. It is what sets Asobimo differently because we are the hands that mold the game, in a sense

 

i dont care if it has potential or not, spear is my fav weapon, so i gonna build one when its got released

 

For me it was disappointing for 2 reasons :
-1st. The attack animation was almost the same as a staff attack, maybe some minimal difference.
-2nd. The dmg output sucked!...e.e...Seriously, I used a 90 lvl char with no gear and a 11 atk 1* sword and was able to do more dmg...even the normal attack was better than some skills.

 

Yup, toram still remain in my phone up to this day because of the high degree of customization you can do in this game.

 

A lot more games does this. Basically, any game that has RPG or cards in it does it:
Devs release/modify weapons/jobs/cards -> Players toy around with new/modified stuff -> Players decide what is good to use and what isn't -> Devs judge what needs a nerf/buff -> Rinse&Repeat
And that's the beauty of those games: the playerbase is somehow involved in the development of the game, as they define what is "meta" and what isn't.

1. That's entirely subjective, so I won't say much besides this: I find the 2H auto attack animation boring, but I really like the class itself.
2. Let me remind you that it was a test build. Key word here: test!
The build itself isn't good, and even if you somehow find what stats they had and replicate them, the class is still a WIP, so some things may be different when the class is released.

Back to main topic, I find that the class itself shows promise. Having STR as main stat and focusing on crit rate is a big plus. My only disappointment is that the skill animations are a bit slow, as other classes can do much more in a short amount of time (Sword-Fus, Impact Snipers, etc). We'll see how they handle it in the final version.

 

Meh, the first preview kinda gave the whole "class" a bad first impression. \(°-°/)
Maybe it is good, but for that to see, we'll have to wait a while...ಠ_ಠ
Fair now all we have is speculations, so for me...I'll just be both optimistic and pessimistic about it.

I will make one also. I just bought a slot for it but knowing for next year we havent got those rooms and pets i dont think well get the class that early hitting 2017.

 

its at least better than dw preview imo

 

Give it some time guys, it's only the first tier.. bow/bg users suffered alot.. until snipe came into the fray.. Spears are interesting, who knows, really cool ideas may just sprout from the other tiers being released

 

I say we wait till it's out, lol. The preview is kind of a turn-off, but I haven't really experienced it in game, so I won't be able to give my complete thoughts on the skill.

 

The class seems to do very well other than some minor bugs

I think the spear with be good if we could use a shield. And thats what im expecting about it so im a little bit down here it has potential.. but im betting after few months or at the end of the month it wont stand out on the previous classes weve been playing
