The Tome of History: a re-c(r)ap of the story =(^.^)=

Greetings, dear reader!
You have stumbled upon the Tome of History, the most famous and preposterous masterpiece of story telling.
The story of Toram Online to be precise; and it is written by none other than the great me: Nicolas J. Red_Fox.
This is still a work in progress, but feel free to read it anyway.
I will write more pages whenever I can, and of course they will be linked together so that not a single one would go lost.

Page I - The Adventurer

This is the story of a handsome Adventurer who just went to go on an Adventure, because that is what Adventurers do.
And his name is: <Your Name> (whatever your name might be)
Yes, this is your story! The story about <Your Name> the Adventurer.

The best place to start a new Adventure is the Adventurer's Camp, where all the young Adventurers gather to go on Adventures.
To help the Adventurers getting started for their Adventure, there is the Caravan.
The leaders of the Caravan are three famous handsome Adventurers named Tennert, Virgo and Libera.
They teach you how to do what Adventurers do, and one of them will accompany on your first walk in the woods.
You can choose between the old but still sexy Tennert and the moe moe kyun~ Libera.
Most likely you want to go with Libera, right? She looks like your future waifu, but... too bad, she is already Virgo's waifu.
Together you walk into the woods, kill some acorns and run into your first Boss Battle:
The Big Fluffy Wolf with Deer Horns engages you, but since this is part of the Tutorial, there is no way that you could loose.

The battle ends quickly and just then, you notice the unmistakable scent of a grill party.
You run back to the Adventurers Camp while dramatic music is playing. Something bad must have happened while you were playing in the woods...
A huge black dragon is attacking the camp and everything is on fire.
The other Adventurers have already evacuated, only Tennert and Virgo are still here to fend off the dragon.
But even with all your efforts combined you can't defeat it, so the only choice left is to abandon the Adventurer's Camp and escape.
Everyone gets away safely and you arrive near the gates of Adventure City.
The dragon has celebrated an awesome grill party, so you can never go back to the Adventurer's Camp again, but at least you didn't become the main dish.
The Caravan moves on to help Adventurers in other places and you enter Adventure City to continue your Adventure.

Yess!! Looking forward to it I prefer reading a bunch of text than reading thru cutscenes (well i never read dialogue in game cos too slow)..

i'm only picking up the main quest parts of the story, one page for each boss.

Oh Lord another one of these. I make the funny and concise ones, may as well hit the next part.

So, after getting absolutely slaughtered by El Drago de Randome at the Caravan camp, you and your buddy take out your P90's and rush to Sofya City like you would rush B after getting called a Cyka Blyat.
When you get there your caravan buddy gives you a gift and from there instantaneously becomes irrelevant to the story.
From there you see a sign saying theres goodies you can get from a store in where after that you talk to the police
Since you aint coming straight from the underground and dont got it bad regardless whether or not youre brown even though asians are normally xenophobes and im making a lengthy ass joke, you learn a bit about sofya.
Soon after you meet the biggest scammer in the game and he gives you some free weapons because youre special somehow.
He tells you about the blacksmith and you decide well shoot that guy has real stuff.
Despite not meeting the grizzled dwarven warrior of your dreams, you meet Zaldo who gives you some clothes with a hole in it. Apparently thats good so hurrah I suppose
Then you meet old synthesis lady who tells you about a job she had going on
You go off to help the people doing the job and oh look, theyre getting their asses handed to them by sentient acorns. Worst hitmen ever.
You do their job for them and then you get some money which lets be real aint jack in the current day and age of Spina so essentially ya get N O T H I N
Afterwards some magicky ass people come out of the cavern nearby screaming like an autistic 12 year old after their fidget spinner has been taken
They say a golem has awoken and is trying to get a V2 Rocket by killing everything in sight and suddenly the Hero.Exe file in your body turns on causing you to go off and do something retarded. Like attempting to subdue a golem thats on a 30+ killstreak (probably)

Page II - King of the Acorns

Adventure City is the city of Adventurers, where all the Adventurers are gathered.
The entire economic system is based on the work of Adventurers and all facilities in town sell goods and services for Adventurers.
The Town Guards of Adventure City welcome you and show you around.
There are many interesting people in Adventure City:
The Scarecrow - actually not a person, but very famous. Rumours say that it was made by the Densetsu no Adventurer and wears his old coat.
Mubia the Alchemist - not your waifu either, because she is with Zaldo (the Blacksmith).
Lefina the rich and spoiled Maso Girl - also not your waifu, it is purely one-sided.
Frente the Hobby Cook - do not even bother, you will be friend-zoned before you know it.
Pino the Goddes of Wisdom - she is the Roleplayers' waifu. Who are the Roleplayers, you ask? You don not want to know that. Really...
Pino notices something odd about you. She says you are special, but can not explain why.
Probably she is just confused by how handsome you are.

Then you get your first quest as an Adventurer:
Apparently the black dragon grilled more than just the Adventurer's Camp.
The King of the Acorns has left the forest and is now trying to settle in the outskirts of Adventure City.
Aggressive acorns are all over the place, preventing the workers from doing their construction work.
Your task is to chase the acorns away. To do that you have to defeat their king.
On the construction site you meet two other handsome Adventurers: Hot Guy Balft, and his sister Triel the Lady Elf Knight. (She won't be your waifu either.) They help you drive off the acorns, so you can approach the king and challenge him to a duel.
The King of the Acorns accepts and you battle it out.
Of course you win, because you are so awesome.
The king leaves his empty husk behind, which is also a helmet in the shape of an acorn.
You equip it; now you are the new King of the Acorns.
Hail to the King!

Page III - Ancient Killer Robot

After becoming the new King of the Acorns, you are officially recognized as a certified Adventurer and get registered in the Adventurers' Guild of Adventure City.
Now that you have your own Adventurer Diploma, you can freely move in and out of Adventure City and the rest of the world.
But there are no discounts or anything. It is an honourable tradition that heroes always pay for their own stuff.

Then you get assigned to your next mission:
An excavation team exploring the ruins of Underground City found a Killer Robot made of the Densetsu no Ancient Technology.
The good news: It's not damaged and still functional.

The bad news: They switched the power on and now it is attacking everyone.
You get your equipment ready and venture into the mine.
The Town Guard at the entrance tells you to be careful, for the ruins are full of rats and bats, and rats with tiny swords, gloves and helmets.

You walk deep into the mine and reach the ancient ruins of Underground City.
They say that the city was once above ground before the Cataclysm occurred...
But even though most buildings are destroyed, randomly patched together or even upside-down, the old street lanterns are still working to light your way.
At the end of the path, you reach a large hall. The Ancient Killer Robot is inside, running wild.
It is much stronger than expected; obviously a low-level Adventurer like you cannot defeat it, but then Hot Guy Balft and Triel the Lady Elf Knight appear to help you.
Together you charge at the Ancient Killer Robot.

Despite it's heavy appearance it moves quite swiftly. Regularly it docks on the power platform in the middle of the room to charge energy and fires ancient killer laser beams.
You take your chance and attack it while it is charging, and eventually you manage to shut it down.

Unfortunately, it was damaged so much that all of the ancient technology became unusable.
For now you have to give up on your dream of having your own jet-pack with laser cannons.
When you return to the surface, you are summoned to an emergency meeting in the Roleplayers' Garden.
The nesting place of the Unknown Dragon has been found.

 

Yey! I love that all details of the story is there(told the best entertaining way) and no stone left unturned unlike the last thread that skip and zooms off like a rabbit on caffine.

Page IV - Dragon Poop

The Unknown Dragon's nest has been found, your mission is to investigate.
Merchants from the Wanderer's Camp have witnessed the dragon moving into the Isthmus of Kaus.
An Isthmus is a small landmass connecting two greater landmasses that are otherwise separated, for example by sea.
But this one is just an Isthmus in name, it doesn't connect anything right now. Even the Internet doesn't connect there...
The Isthmus is covered in fog, it stinks. Wild wolves and even plants, corrupted by the stench, attack you.

As you fight your way to the Dragon's nest, the stench gets stronger the further you go.
Finally, you arrive at a deep pit in the middle of the Isthmus: the Dragon's Closet.
That is where the horrible stench emanates from; it's full of crap.
But the Unknown Dragon is not here, it seems that it left this place some time ago.
You only find a giant Evil Purple Crystal growing on top of a pile of faeces.
Suddenly the Evil Purple Crystal awakens to life. It spawns smaller copies of itself to cut off your way back.
You are trapped in the Dragon's Closet full of crap and with an Evil Purple Crystal trying to kill you.

A normal low-level Adventurer would surely have died here, but you are different:
You are the King of the Acorns, destroyer of Ancient Killer Robots.
You cover your nose, grab your weapon and fight.
It is not an easy battle, but the Evil Purple Crystal is deeply stuck in the dragon faeces, it can't move.
Circling around it, you can dodge the magical laser beams and slowly break it down, shard by shard. When you struck your weapon into it's core, the stench intensifies as it bursts out as a large wave before dissipating completely.
The empty crystal shell crumbles and the crystal spawns disappear.
Only the dragon faeces and a few black shards that you broke off during the battle are left.
You pick up one of the black shards and head back to report.

You show the black shard to RPW Pino (RPW = Roleplayers' Waifu).
She tells you that similar shards have also been found in places where the Unknown Dragon attacked.
It must have dropped from it's body, and since dragons are normally peaceful Digimon, the black thing is probably possessing it.
RPW concludes that the black crystal must have the ability to corrupt the Digimon and turn them evil.
And it seems that they can not be dispelled by ordinary magic.
A stronger power is needed - the power of the Elder Gods.

Page V - Without Kirito

The RPW tells you a story about the deeds of the Elder Gods:
“When the world was destroyed by the Cataclysm, many black monsters appeared out of nowhere.
The Elder Gods created powerful magic stones, the Dragon Balls, to drive off the black monsters and protect this world.
Unfortunately, the Dragon Balls were lost in history, and now only a few people barely even remember them.
If you could find one of the Dragon Balls and activate it, the world could be saved.”
The RPW tells you that there is an old forgotten temple somewhere in an old ruined town.
It's much likely that a Dragon Ball could be found there.

So you go to explore the ruins of the old town.
And in the middle of the town, there really is a passage that leads into an old forgotten temple.
There are cracks in the walls and the roof is broken, the sunlight gently shines through.
It appears that the temple is much bigger than expected, there are many floors and passages.
Suddenly your way is blocked by a Hot Elf Lady with a deadly spear. She points her weapon at you and speaks: "You shall not pass!".
She is the Guardian of the Dragon Ball and protects the temple from the pillaging goblins.
You explain to her why you came here and she lowers her weapon.
Her attitude becomes more friendly, and she introduces herself as Arone.
Arone's family is guarding the Dragon Ball for generations, but no one knows how it got there in the first place.

She leads you to a large dome, where a giant statue is holding a Dragon Ball in it's hands.
Just as she was about to tell you more, a preposterously dressed figure interrupts your conversation. It is Cippiwon the Clown Wizard and his ninja squad.
They were also send here for research on the Dragon Ball.
Arone tries to interfere and explains that the Dragon Ball must not be moved from it's place, because it keeps and evil monster sealed in this temple.
But one of Cippiwon's ninjas has already lifted the Dragon Ball from the Statue's hands and the calamity begins:
The Unknown Dragon appears from above and attacks.
The ninja attempts to activate the Dragon Ball, but he fails. As he falls from the statue's hands, he drops the Dragon Ball.
When you pick it up, it suddenly glows intensely and a flash of light bursts forth from it, repelling the Dragon.
You prevailed against the Dragon, but now that the Dragon Ball has been moved from it's resting place, the seal that traps the evil monster is broken.

The ground starts shaking and the floor breaks up.
The Gleam Eyes appears! And you have to defeat it!
But you can't use the Dual Wield skill, because it cannot be learned before lv30.
The Dragon Ball flashes again, it's light seems to weaken The Gleam Eyes.
Maybe you can defeat it after all. Arone also joins the battle, while Cippiwon and his ninjas watch from a safe distance.
It's a dangerous battle, and it would end so much faster if you just could use the Dual Wield skill, but you are not lv30 yet...
You barely manage to defeat it and finally Cippiwon decides to help too, putting the Dragon Ball back into the statue's hands.
The spell activates and The Gleam Eyes is sealed in the temple grounds again.

 

Page VI - Confrontation with the Unknown

The Dragon Ball that you found can not be used, since it must stay in the temple.
But hope is not lost yet. Arone tells you, that elves have succeeded in creating artificial Dragon Balls. Limited in power, but high functional, those Holy Jewels come in many variations for every purpose.
Wandering merchants buy those in masses, and sell them to Adventurers all over the world.
You remember the Wanderer's Camp near Adventure City; surely the merchants there have some Holy Jewels.

They have a Holy Jewel that can clear the evil miasma of the Dragon's fart,
and they treat you to a special deal: If you can defeat the Unknown Dragon, which has disrupted their trading routes, you can have the Holy Jewel for free.
How nice of them, to wait for your impeding death before grabbing your money.

Meanwhile the Unknown Dragon has conquered the Very High Mountain.
Ominous dark clouds are surrounding the mountain peak, and the evil miasma of the Dragon's fart has already infested the entire mountain and is now spreading towards Icule Lake.
If the Lake get's poisoned, Adventure City's main fresh water source will be lost.
Hot Guy Balft and Triel the Lady Elf Knight stalled the spreading miasma by putting up a spell barrier, but it will not last much longer.
Just the right time for the Hero (you) to appear!
You activate the Holy Jewel, and the evil miasma of the Dragon's fart fades away; along with the jewel. Since they are fakes, they can only be used once.

Together you make your way to the top of Very High Mountain, the sky darkens, lightning flashes and the black wind howls.
The Unknown Dragon has pooped out two more, smaller, Evil Purple Crystals.
But this time you are not alone, so the battle is not as close as it was in the Dragon's Closet.
As the black crystal crumbles from the Dragon's body, it regains it's sanity.
It is Decelmon, the Desert Dragon Digimon.
Just as the RPW guessed, the black stuff can possess Digimon and take over their mind and body.
Decelmon returns to the desert and the sky becomes clear again.

This time, the fake Dragon Ball did the job.
But for future incidents you would need a large supply and probably even stronger ones...
As you descend from the Very High Mountain, you decide to investigate more about the Holy Jewels.
