I started Toram online 1 and half a year ago. At first it felt great because I was think that you can do things alone like leveling your main character to almost lvl cap or at least getting the best skill on your character (which is 4 tier skills). But when I tried to reach lvl 150(which is a requirement to get lvl 4 skills) its so hard there's no way around than spamming a very tough boss with you 3 tier skills(which is suck). Trying to get a pt but they're in the same shoes as i am, they got no main character with 150+ and worst of that started as MAGE class. Oh yeah you heard that right MAGE a very sucky-ass class for starters........Unless you already have a lvl 150 char and your newly created MAGE has a FINALE with it *troll face*.

So yeah same as me a starting as a mage (well i blamed this vid ) getting back on my harsh life in the game so I tried to join a pt around 142-144 which is Dusk Machina I did manage to get in by they kicked me after they found out that I got no FINALE with me. But hey im the only 3 tier player on that pt okay..well yeah go no other choice but to ask for pt again, got invited and kicked afterwards.Tbh I dont see any more reason other than being a 3 tier mage getting kicked in a pt I even make up for luring a boss everytime it gets killed I lure one by one, reviving a fallen member trying to get the aggro for them to land their Ace skills on the boss but still got kicked afterwards.

And so I came to town trying to get some help then they just ignored it.....Sometimes players there are just jerks saying "What's with the drama?","Just quit already this isn't for you", "You suck thats why" you know almost all of the players will give you that response so I'll give you some advice newbies don't you ever try seek a help through "Shout" or any public chats Veteran and High lvl players will just treat you like some toxic waste.

Hours pass by I get frustrated because im almost there and there's some wall that i cannot pierce my way through..So I was planning on quitting but my heart wants me to keep on going but I cant go on like this....

Done all my current Main Quests right now which became my only friend cuz it helped me raise my lvl to 10 levels (because I quit before and you already know the reason)

Right now still 142 and I need to find something else for me to forget about this game.

I'm gonna be honest and bit brutal. Toram is very noob friendly, of course though experiences very. I have been playing a mage type well before finale was implemented. Since blast was the best magic skill and was nerfed a bit.

Toram has created many "pro-noobs" and you will find many jerks who want to pty only with specific skills like crossfire, finale or meteor and wouldn't even pty with a dps brawler that has chariot. For me, I would rather pty with a group that has their full skill set or at least 2-3 of the members (me included) having their full skill set to make it go faster too. For leveling up I suggest boss killing instead of mini boss killing as storm attracts too many mobs and won't be able to kill them as fast as finale.

The game itself is noob friendly. The players, it varies. Some help and others don't.

Not all high level players are like that, some are also willing to help new players if they have the spare time, I've helped several players in the past myself who shouted at Hora Diomedea trying to look for players or recruit members in a pt who can help them tank and/or farm a certain boss at ultimate difficulty, or help them beat a certain boss in the MQ, you just got unlucky no one wanted to help you, also during the start of events like anniversary event and this xmas event all the high level players are busy doing the new quests and farming limited items so they sometimes won't have time helping newbies, and yes mage is a bad class for new players to start with, especially if you solo with merc. If you don't have a guild to help you I suggest you farm items for spina instead, especially event items like xmas stars, stocking, that snow thingy that drops from snowmans that's needed for Noliel ice statue repair quest, etc. They sell for a decent amount of spina, afterwards you can just buy nightmare crystals and do "Pride of the rich" quest at lefina for 300k exp per stack of nc, last time I checked they're selling for 30-40k for 4 stacks of nc, which equates to 1.2 million exp per 30-40k spina

all games have players like that. even the ones with auto-party system. in that case, the clerics will not heal you because they think of you as dead weight.

just tap the character's name and select "block" from the menu. you will never hear from them again ;)

Back then newbies weren't pressured to cap quickly. The +-3 level exp range wasn't implemented yet, there was no other choice than to farm NC 4 hours a day. Many bosses didn't even have any players to party with. Its considerably better now for newbies. Toram was a heavy-grind game to level at the start, its much, much better now

level at 140 is a bit boring cause theres no more mobs to solo, but go on a loaded server (int1 if youre in europe) and wait near a miniboss many people yell "lfp" and finally that works

I share a lot of same opinion as other peeps here, don't take it the wrong way (since they already said the best course of action for you) but have you ever tried being the party leader? Sure, there's a chance of them leaving instead and inviting people that isn't fit for dm yet. It doesn't matter who or what they are, if they're a functional party then I doubt they would be dissatisfied and just leave as it is.

Also I'm not sure if you did it but this is also what I meant by people not fit for tough enemies but wait, it's not having just t3 skills but worse. I've met beginners that's purposely crippling their character with tier 3 skills by leaving every skill at 5 or they made their characters just a husk of preparation for the t4 skills which honestly, a very hard thing to do.

*Flash backs when im grinding York norm and met a 116 2h with no tempest* aaaaAAAAAAAAA

Guilds wont be a help tbh i've been in a guilds saying they will help me before inviting me but didn't happen. They just keep telling you some excuses everytime i need a helping hand from them so it's pointless for me to stay in such a guild even though there a lot of 160+ doing nothing.... It is good to have guild in some mmorpg's but not in this game.

It isn't you know if it is then you can keep up with the high lvl furballs without anyone's help, without going such treatment just to get to lvl 150, "players, it varies"? oh no no you got it wrong there all of them always get annoyed by 150 below asking for help to get themselves a 4 tier skill

140 and people still go to Dusk? Lmao

Go Maton. It's easier for Storm mages since some of its attacks makes it stay in one place. It should be crowded since Aso released the recipe for Soldier Armor, and people are farming to either sell the mats or use it for themselves. Also having a mage there is necessary since it requires you to Stop/Paralyze it when it's on low HP. Tbh Toram is very newbie friendly, you were just unlucky to meet those dick players.
That clearly says your guild sucks. Find a new one, you could ask around in the forums.
HAHAHAHAHAH that could possibly be my IRL friend

What you're telling us is bad experiences you've had. Generalizing high level players to be generally bad people is kind of unfair because I've personally got friends from 130 to 150 and lemme tell you they all kept dying, but I did it anyway cause I had nothing else to do and I got 2 odelon xtals out of it. XD

I'd have help you, but nowadays I can barely play 2 hours.

Honey if this is your attitude you may want to avoid ANY and ALL massive multiplayer online games. Especially with several here already contradicting you. Don't be upset just because of a few jerks.

This game is very noob friendly, from the mercenary system to easy boss mode. Daily 30% exp boosts. Boosted exp by being within -/+ 10 levels (but you get the most from -/+3 margin). You don't need +E equipment, player made equipment or boss xtals to be decent. You can farm to drop usable equipment or farm materials to make usable equipment. You can even just farm mobs within your level range to level up. Don't try to heavily rely on others especially since it isn't working out for you. Heck, just make a secondary character on your account that can make it faster to 150 if you are so upset about your mage like a halbert user as they have the highest single target burst damage in the 3-tier skill tree.

Don't blame the game just because you run into jerks.
