@kariin hi Karrin, one of the scammers in your list escaped and changed his name to J:R:N then scammed big again. Do you mind updating your list? We don't have screenshots to show you but the overwhelming testimonies should do the trick, shouldn't they?

the problem was we knew you have the proto already, and wanted to help players who didn't have one. Turned out an honest good deed got horribly misused.

Yeah, sorry I forgot to give my testimony on your thread Jbazt, I sold my legend gem to you a year ago, and even though the run wasn't successful you still paid me the gem run payments, you have my trust;), I only gave JRN the slot because I felt pity on him since he was shouting in the message board a few days ago of not getting any proto sword even after going through several gem runs and 200+normal runs through megiston, I wanted to let as much people as possible to get the proto since it's such a great sword and the event wont be coming back for 1 year

'Well-Known Member' is so easy to get, you just need to post a lot of messages. You should never assume someone is trustworthy just because of their title. IIRC this guy also scammed a friend of mine long ago, with a different IGN.

I really wish I was the one invited to the gemruns xD But if you did, we wouldn't know that JRN is a scammer.

I hope this won't happen to anyone else. But well, it's an online game. Every online game will inevitably have scammers..

that guy was more than just a well-known member, he posted a DW build with passion, he has multiple maxed-out characters, and his guild is one of the best guilds in game with many long time players. He was a professional, playing the long con. He probably earned a lot of trust from everyone, not just us.

I am still trying to dig for more clues of his real identity tho. May take a while, but this little scum will surely be exposed.

sounds exactly like firefox, there's nothing to expose there. He takes pride in his scamming and it isn't his first time. He has posted builds and what-not loads of time before. Made posts about the community, complained about bots, anything that can make him seem trustable.

That's not going to be easy dude. We know shit about this guy. I doubt the Burger guy who is best buddy with him since he was still scamming in Iruna will help us either.

We may never know who he is. or we may. I am using my other resources. Got a friend who's working as an internet security guy for FBI, he may know how to get this scum. Also my other Japanese friend will help me contacting Asobimo directly in Japanese to find a way to terminate his account. Now that we know his online identities, we have a lot of evidences.

    Good point!
That's what scammers do. Gain as many people's trust as possible. Being in one of the best guilds isn't something that can prove a player trustworthy. The people in that guild could possibly know nothing at all about who the guy really is.
    Now this is interesting.

Well, I've pretty much accepted my losses and moved on from this curious episode anyway, I can easily get back the 10m spina by statting a couple of equips and then selling them, if anything I feel more pity on JRN or whatever his real name is. If his idea of playing Toram is stealing other people's things and spina just to buy op equips for himself then he will never be able to truly enjoy playing. Honing one's own play style, becoming strong out of one's own efforts and hard work is the key to true enjoyment in this game, or anything in life for that matter imo. If he's been doing this scamming thing for a long time then there's a high chance he's also like this irl, always using short cuts and only looking at the results and not the process. This is a sad kind of lifestyle. Hopefully he realizes this truth and change his ways before it's too late for him.

I understand your feeling Aria, even though I can't just let go of this like you. I have no tolerant for this kind of people and I won't stop until they get what they deserved. In real life, we have the justice system set up for criminals and we don't let them go off their ways hoping they will suddenly become a better person.

My experience in life is, this kind of people will always do what they think they can do best: continue to scam. Unless he's a professional criminal in real life (which I doubt), he will almost always get away with scamming in games and ruin it for other players.

Turns out he scammed the people in his guild too before scamming us. He just used their name and reputation to set up the scam.
