I get the feeling of a community going downhill because of to much doubts.

Sigh, I just saw someone posting something in a "hi I'm new" section that I think is totally inappropriate. Something about "Trick to avoid being banned having the same IP on 2 accounts: pretend it belongs to a relative.". Sure it could be true that some people do this but what if it really is relatives? If it is relatives then it would be false accusations if someone posts it openly somewhere.

I have a twin sister, we have alike interests and we both play the same game, are members of the same forum, live in the same house, goes to the same school and use the same net. What if someone just told me suddenly that I'm her because we have the same IP address? The person who had told me that would have gone the wrong way. It you suspect someone because of a IP address then I would recommend keeping it to yourself. If it isn't true that it is one person behind two accounts then you can have hurt the two persons behind the accounts.

I'm not blaming anyone from suspecting but consider the feelings of the other side, if you do that then this will be a much better community. No one likes being falsely accused.

PS. To the one that wrote that "trick" I'm not trying to blame you or make an enemy of you at all. I only wanted to state my opinion, a opinion from someone that actually have relatives on the forum. Don't feel hurt by this please, I do not mean any harm at all.

Oh this is to everyone, I think no one has actually accused me of having two accounts yet which I'm really grateful for. I have no clue on my sisters password so unless I can somehow hack myself in I can never use her account, she would never tell me her password. (We do not use the same computers and devices so her password and such isn't saved in my browser.)

 

You could just tag me. Sorry if you thought I was referring to you when I made that acid comment. I'm fully aware of you and Arina since so long ago that it never crossed my mind you would feel targeted. The accusation towards that "new member" wasn't random at all. If you check that account it is already banned. For a reason it was. Also, the Community has nothing to do with what 1 forum member posts. No use taking it like this.

haha, well firstly it's not just ANY forumer, it was a forumer who has already claimed to be hacked while using the same ip address and constantly lying through her teeth about almost everything she says and does... So of course I will raise suspicions after all I am syl's gm..

 

I don't feel that pointed out I only wanted state my opinion, I saw that the topic was talked about in shoutbox and then you posted that in that "newbie's" thread so I decided to state my opinion. It isn't impossible for the whole community to turn bad in the long run if people starts to voice their doubts because of a IP address.

Well I've stated my opinion and I'm done. Everyone is free to continue to state their opinion of this matter in this thread.
