well I probably made a mistake with the enlarging of the right one, that's why the face is longer but did u notice the halo leftovers on the right? The hairlines r identical except the brightest ones.

Yup, did triple check it the hair line and the halo are the same .
Nc play with color tone on the right make it look light a hightlight from the lighting above

Well we shuld give @Sunny a few mark here, she not plagiarize 100 %, she did put an effort to change what can be chnge from her pov.
Arts student also learn by trying to imitating others works. That how they improve.
Hope she can find her own path

do you even know why copyright is exist on arts? lemme fix you, everyone will always grow by imitating "style of drawing" at first but not put up new drawing above the existed copyright drawing and publish it as theirs without even credit or asking the owner, unless that artist have no pride.
please dont talk above the name of "art student"

    But what if example here
Someone draw natsu from fairy tail
And he or she make his way...so what this call

    She make it for fun
If she like art like her try
If we barred her interest isnt that will make us a bad guy, people shuld learn from mistake
And the way ur type its look like u want to flame

Its eazy to condem people if they make mistake. What if u are the one make a mistake and people condem u and say too many negative(this can be consider siber bullying).

first, how do you know she is an art student??? and second of all i didn't say something un-couraging. artist fight with their passion, by this case they won't take it as the end of their passion, but to build her to be a better "artist" in the future. suggestion and critics is a friend to artist, not a sin.

lemme give an example for this case in different pov:
you wrote a book and published it, but someone took your book and just scratch out every words they don't like and write it above the scratched lines including your name and the publisher and begin to brag about it without people know who is the true author.

    now how will you feel?
i just don't want my experience happened to other artist.

I am pretty tolerable when I see people copy human poses and alter the hair, face, and clothing for their own craft, but this is just a plain carbon copy of the original artwork.

She did plagiarized the artwork. If you simply take someone’s artwork, and add only 3 touches that are not unique, than that’s not making your own work. Plagiarism is when you take someone’s work and pass it off as your own. She didn’t bother crediting the artist, so it is counted as plagiarism.

She could have reduce the simularies by only tracing the pose.
But no, she literally drew over the art and tried to make it look like her own work, even though it doesn’t. In order to not be classified as an art thief, it must look complete different with a few simularties, like this:
    C5F802A8-578F-48CE-98F1-BAC012B0E8C0.jpeg
The artwork is all based on a similar character, but all 4 peices of artwork are different. Different pose, different mediums, different background, different styles of clothing, body image, etc. All have a personal art style.

You need to remember that this person was willing to sell this “ art service” of hers to people. Free or not, this person was giving away fake art. Even if she isn’t gaining any kind of money from drawing, a boost in positive reputation through any service is still counted as a great payment.

You aren't getting the point. Anyone can make Natsu because he is a well known anime character, and he has his own franchise after himself. The author doesn’t mind people making fan art of Natsu. Everyone knows who Natsu is in the anime community, so there isn’t a need to really credit Hiro Mashima. But if you copy off of artist who isn’t as popular, you MUST credit them, especially if their artwork is an OC. Copying a popular character is completly different if you copy off a personal OC.

None of us are trying to bury her interest in drawing. We are simply calling her out for faking her own art work. Artists in college study artwork from past artists like Leonardo or Chuck Close, but they don’t literally copy other peices of work. If anything, artists replicate the genre of an art piece, not the actual artwork.

Even though I'm dead on forums, I just came here to say that you can still do the commissions, but don't make them click-bait by using someone else's work, claiming them yours and drawing over them. As an artist, I find it disrespectful to do such actions, you could have at least credited Shal. E (as others have said earlier). I could care less if your artwork is simply just stick-figures, what matters is you're doing what you love with your own skills. Don't be fake, be original, it's for your own good. That's all, I hope you've learned your lesson.

I’m sorry, do you even understand what “Plagiarism” is? It’s called putting your name over or scribbling your drawings onto the original piece of work that you did not create yourself. If you’re inspired by her work as you say, you should have just left the original work as it is and used it as a REFERENCE to create something fancy of your own. Pls double check yourself and reflect upon it.

Intentional or not, plagiarism is still bad :') and honey, what you're doing is not referencing. What you did was literally copy someone else's hard work and pasted some things you did. Referencing is making your own work BASED off the idea/artstyle of who you're referencing. Try picturing yourself in her spot and imagine if someone else took your artwork and lazily pasted their own components and called it theirs .u.

    H-how..can you just...
well, you didn't understand anything, did you? then you're either just a moron or just trolling around to make a fuss.
Ahaha and yes yes, you didn't plagiarize it, but stole it. then ruined the original artwork with your ugly dirty hands. what the hell with that blurred outline, those horns with sickening cell shading and you can't even draw the collar and the tie properly, you also forgot to cover the halo on the hair, also got the background by just searching it on google images, right? and also why you didn't even put effort to draw the twintails? because you know if you do so people can easily find out that you're a fake since you'll mess everything up, you thought that people would barely notice the truth for most of them will just focusing looking at the face (at first at least), but no you were mistaken. it's just natural if we spot you as an art thief by just looking at it.

    ..
sorry, I know this is none of my business but I can't just stand this, sigh... everyone is having such a kind heart for being able to explain and warn things quite politely.
