Anyone else get...

I'm practicality new to this. I started Wendsday night, played all Thursday. Then next day, wasn't able to play at all... But it is still a pretty fun game, so I'll wait it out c:

 

Japan is notorious for its long work hours. There is even a phenomenon in the country where people have died from working too much. It is called karoshi, which literally means "death by overwork."

I can provide sources back and forth about work ethic, people going to work the day after earthquakes. People working themselves to literal death.

Albeit, it is a societal norm there to go out with co-workers after shifts. It is not reinforced, but it can be possibly looked down upon. They certainly have a different culture, but what you're stating is false.

 

I did say I couldn't confirm any of it, since it's just stuff I've been told and can't confirm myself. As I said, the only thing I can tell you for sure is this has happened before. it's nothing new to toram. Also, that family time thing is the excuse we've been given when calling asobimo.

 

I hope they do not delay the skill release, snowball fights and other stuff any more... Cause snow is already kinda gone here.

 

Yeah, unfortunately, it's just a slew of excuses with no actual substance of why or when. They already provided an ETA, now we're passed that point, and still no communication.

I feel like they just used it as an excuse while they work on their other games. Every single one of their other games have had event updates all weekend.

 

That is just awful luck. At least you can only go up from there.

 

I feel that they are really busy on thinking of how to solve the problem and not let the problem arise again. This is because the time for White Day event is around the corner. Also, they have snowball event and other content updates to consider before just actually make the server active again as the devs prolly knew if they did that, players would just end up crowding int1 again causing overload stress on the server. Abt the server, I think its a merged server divided into partitions since its taking long in recovering the server.

To make things worse, there's earthquake happened as you all know alrdy causing a possible staff shortage to overcome the problem that the server has. Also, I assume that JP has a dedicated server for its players.

So all in all, I guess prolly stressed up abt this problem happening again and what more there's a delayed snowball event to think abt, a coming soon white day event, shield dyes release. All this is another reason why they really need prepare the server to not broke while being overload. This being said, I assume maybe the server might be off for a few more days.

 

See this is exactly what I see as far as problems go.

Rollbacks can happen easily like rolling back up to 2mins ago as movement and storage (assuming they are stored in xml but then again i use unity idk their stuff) are server authorized so its logged every sec basically.

My guess is that a fire happened.

Do they post police blotters and fire related stuff online? Or does posting such get filtered via company requests? My guess is somethinf went up in smoke as reaquiring hardware and recovering data (or connections which makes sense lol) a nightmare.

 

Ikr. They work soooooo much that, some ppl even just sleep at the office instead of going home! They work soooooo much that, they occasionally get praised for falling asleep while working as it's a sign of over exhaustion from hard work. The Japanese folk work alot!!!

 

They got nets outside their windows? One of the answers to that problem, albiet new and understanding, are these "herbivores" I heard of a whiles back.

It's been 5 days since then.. I'm getting worried especially I have to check on someone in Toram...
I hope the devs are doing they can to fix this

 

Don't worry about it.
Lets get real. They are going to take 1 week or so...so next tuesday or sth.. and for them to just say "we are closing server because we couldnt find the issue" is very unlikely.
They clearly have backups and international server is very crucial for them in profiting their wealth as a gaming company.
If they for somewhat reason announce that they will close the server then only japanese people can play which is a drastic decrease in their profit. There are only so much whom can play and donate money to Asobimo in Japan alone.

They could clearly create a new Server as an International then copy the backups of Players to that new one. Won't take long.. i mean.. why else would they be running Japanese server fine. They just need a little more time or they might be waiting for a technition on the weekends or something.

If perhaps they do make a new server and have no backups, they would have already told us sooner or other VERY unlikely reasons. This is not possible though...where do u think we are living in?.. 1999? No.. It has millions of downloads and updates frequently. They are doing it as we speak in Jp Server (toram.jp). This tells us they have different teams dedicated in their vast variety of games and servers. Which also tells us that they have a secure base line of running their company with a good enough trustworthy tasks. This means it is a good thing that they dont abandon their teams work and all invest in fixing this problem we ae facing. Therefore .. as u might know.. will take TIME.

Nowadays, Games ( especially mobile games ) have intense competition as u might know and for a Millions downloaded app with Editors Choice on Google AppStore to just betray their customers by saying "sry.. we dont have backup" or "sorry..we cant fix server" when jp server is up is just being dishonest. You wont get away with that untrustful behavior nowadays.

Ive spent more than 400hours and donated alot to Asobimo. I hardly play any other games but this on my spare time. Im saying this because Im at a position just like you at the moment, disapointed but love the game.
No need to panic, they are going to launch it up and that is inevitable. Just do your work or studies while u wait ^^.

ew feel like they're gonna give out gems, ava tickets, rev droplets or fairy tools or something useless as compensation

I mean not like they need too, but I still feel like with the servers being down and all it should be something to at least make up for lost game time
