I know this has been asked and discussed many many times. However what I want to say here is that according to Coryn site the difference between your proficiency level and item level affects the exp you gain from crafting; closer the gap the more exp gain; 0 difference: 25%-30% exp you gain. However, my proficieny level now is 72 and when I craft Holy Robe (Item Level is 120) so the difference is 48 (>10) it shoud have given me 1% (according to Coryn), however it gives me 25%-30% (actually 27%-30%) and the fact that I craft Holy Robe when my proficiency level is 11 and it still gives me 25%-30%. Correct me or explain anything to me will be my pleasure because I don't know why is that either. This maybe a tip for you guys to raise your proficiency level since buying/farming recently mats is easier (not cheaper) than the old one since most people are farming those mats. One last thing is that my bs char is full tec so if you want to go this way you may have to reset stats later.

P/S: my char is 255 TEC and 232 VIT (Maybe this is the cause??o_Oo_O). I start at a filling stats and refining char but then just want to combine all so decide to be a bs vit so item difficulty is not a problem.

I kept on crafting Lil Empress series (item level 140 iirc) from when my BS' proficiency level was still at 97.
And by doing that, I kept on getting 25%-30% experience until I've reach 140+ in proficiency.
To get the minimum experience, your proficiency can't be 11 levels higher than the item level, up to 30% before it surpasses 5 levels in difference.

Concerning your stats, 255 TEC adds 127 levels to "Difficulty," which means you can craft higher level items at lower proficiency level.
Proficiency = Difficulty = The minimum requirement to craft an item.

It gives max prof % if item crafted has an item level equal too or higher than your prof level and your % gain decreases as you out level the recipe, has been this way over a year now it's just advised to work your way up from the bottom if you don't have tech and so you fail less while crafting.
