1st time this happened to me in a year of playing

I've been playing for a year now and this never happened but after it did I asked in the chat and someone said it's normal. I've played through the story mode so many times and a few minutes ago (sorry I can't remember her name and there's 68 pages of boss names on coryn club I don't wanna go through) I played the mission where you gotta fight that little girl with the creepy smile and there were other players in there with me but I didn't join a party. I can't believe after a year this only happened a few minutes ago

 

Venena. If you enter alone or in a party without an ally party, you could get matched with another party (who entered without an ally).
