Long range damage on Shining cross

I saw a video that if u increase long range damage, ur shining cross damage will still increase its damage.
If so then what if u reduce long range damage, will it decrease shining cross damage?

 

Passive adds 10% more dmg, iirc I'm sure someone else can give exact, to any skill that's able to be used from 8m or more.
It doesn't matter where you're at long as the skill is able to be used from 8m+

 

But if u max an ability in shot skill (long range), u will see theres a Damage difference when u use SC close range

 

That is because shining cross loses a LOT of damage when used at longer ranges. It's just how the skill works.

 

Im taking about when ur 2-3m ur shining cross damage increases when u increase lrdamage

 

Yes that is because the skill "Long range" does not take into account distance from the target, if you are at 8m or 2m, the damage increase remains. However, shining cross does less damage at longer ranges. Long range damage % on gears does not affect its damage when used from short range.

You are correct, the minus lrd doesn't do anything to shining cross if you use it from short range (0-7m). If you go to 8m or more, the minus lrd will work.

Yup, but long range damage% on xtals and such doesnt affect the sc damage

 

Also is spinning slash which procs blind good before sc spamming? Since negative status ailments on enemies makes them receive more damage?

 

Different targets need different ailments to increase damage. No known bosses/minibosses have a weakness to blind afaik. So no.

 

Except for wandering wheel xD

 

wandering wheel is weak to stop, slow, and freeze, not blind if I remember correctly
